yes they are.. this is a ride to Grassy mountain.. it is still owned by a management company.. the strip coal mine is still there .... they really are getting stricter in having quads go up there.. it is incredidle high climb but not that hard at all.. you can go down a bit a ride lots of the lower coal hills and have some fun.. but lots of these are steep and depends what a person call steep thou, right... but they are fun to ride.. amazing, amazing senery there.. i go every year at least once sometimes twice... 3 hrs for me from calgary down the 22x to the no. 3 and then to Coleman.. i think i timed it last year at door to door to camping in 3 1/2 hrs.. medium traffic... the one year two off this site came down with us when we went down for one of the club rides they have.. two day ride.. so its worth it...

the camping where we were set up is at Macgilvery staging area..
my truck and 6 x 12 that doubles as my home too when the quad is out..

it will be one of the best trips you have made.. that is garanteed as long as your quad don't break down on a trip like this.. thats where you become very unhappy and pout a lot!..lol

looks like an interesting ride, looks hard on tires, most of us run mud type soft tires, and to change out for rock tires won't happen i'm thinkin. u guys set up a ride and send us the info, i'm thinking there may be some interest, i have a set of rock tires that will go back on easy peasy. we will probably have rides in our neck of the woods planned everyother weekend. and arff probably all summer. dougie is going to have to fly to make it through but should be able to. otherwise more beer.

i'm thinkin most of us suds buds will be holding you two up(kwik and trashy) as we are a little more laid back. not sure how your riding style will fit in with our group. medler knows how we ride, slow and unsteady, lookin for the refreshment truck.

My tires are screwed anyway. Way to many burnouts

I'll be fine, I might pass by a refreshment truck at a high rate of speed. But I'll just click off 6th gear and make double time back
Which I should look at what gear ratio I have on the quad right now??? I'm thinking a 4:11 for a suds buds ride, and possibly a 3:73 or taller for a CNP ride.
I'll do that after Revy, and possibly Fernie.....
