I like the fact that no one cares what I think or what I say....

Ah Bog's, you know we all love you.................Here's the report. Just fill it out and send it to Chief Shiny Top or one of your favorite Mods.......I'm sure you will get the attention you are looking for.

Keep in mind, the website has recieved a few "cease and desist" orders/letters from: Vendors, non vendors, manufacturers, members ... And these also have to be dealt with. Not many, but have had a few. Just an extra little problem that the site, and ron, and mods deals with :)

So when I called out the dealer just north of Edmonton that called BRP and the other shop I was buying from to block a cheap sale to me I caused trouble? He almost cost the salesman his job.
The owner of the said shop just noth of Edmonton who made the calls never had the guts to call me or the other shop after he was caught.
Left him several voicemails to.
Sorry but some time chit needs to get posted.
I will challenge this guy face to face any day any time, just in case there is another side to the story.
I can deal with bad service as mistakes happen but this stunt brings a dealership owner's integrity front and center. Period!

This guy deserves his bashing.
Sorry but I will not appologize for the trouble I may be causing.

I can recently remember one thread that a supporting venders product, and a non supporting dealer were involved, no posts were deleted. IMO that thread went on way to long and should of been dealt with/handled differently.
If it wasn't for the op posting the resolution to the issue and his positive outcome, no one would of known about it. I wanted to thank the op for posting it but the thread was locked right after that post, pretty rare to hear the outcome to a issue.

Kind of a catch 22 "to moderate or not to moderate", but is frustrating to see something like that go on. If someone posted a price or a comment about a "city dealer or vendor" it gets jumped on like a fat kid on a cupcake, and disappears just as quick.

Remember, "Things can never be so bad that it can't get worse"! We could just have snowest!, lol.
I'm grateful that this site is available, met some pretty cool people on here, planned some pretty wicked rides with the info shared.

Bad service is bad service. Bad dealers are bad dealers. No need to moderate. It is what it is. We will all hear about it one way or the other. If your business doesn't want to be slandered correct the issue or risk eventually going out of business.

"If you have 3 dealers an hour from you but you like the sales guy and service manager at store A but dealer B is $200 cheaper than dealer A then is it really worth it to shop at store B for $200? You are basically saying Dealer A isn't worth your bar bill at Zala's for 1 night? It continues to shock me after 30 years in the business how many people hold a hundred dollar bill so tightly to there chest just on principle. But .........it is a free world I guess. Lol."

OK...... This is a two way street you realize? The dealer could match and or beat the price to keep "their" customer happy. Not to mention A $100 is $100 no matter what, I would rather have it in my pocket than anybody else's any day.

You mean to tell me you would buy from a different dealer for $100.00?
Rather than the one you have dealt with in the past if they have treated you good?
I would hope not ?

BINGO!!!!!! $500 or even $100 is far better spent on my family than throwing at a dealer (don't drink that much any more but will soon have 3 kids in post secondary). It is a customers money and their choice where to spend it. A dealer needs to earn that purchase except in Alberta where it seems to be considered a right! Some dealers get it and some don't, some get bashed and some don't.
Get it??

If you have a regular dealer I would hope not also - also thinking that for $100 your regular dealer will match the price. But if you are shopping................
Went back to my old dealer on the last sled and I guess he wanted some of our family business back, his price was by far the best with a non-disclosure haha.

Not to mention the cases where dealer A is the closest and has a good salesman but the service department is a separate entity from sales and absolutely sucks.

It actually costs me more money for my quads and sleds and their parts because I go to different dealers out of town for my sales, parts and service because the local ones suck so bad.

I do believe I know the dealership in question. I won't say names because I don't want my fingers slapped...but it rhymes with purple mothers. It kills me to have to deal with that short fat bald headed pr!ck in the parts department....I'll stand in line letting people in front of me until a different parts person is available.

pfi572 is in business I can tell. Summit Tree not so much. Lol.

So why do you think it's up to the customer to make up the middle ground? Why because I prefer to keep my money in my pocket does that make me NOT business savvy? I am in the business of keeping my bank account full by working as a HD mechanic. I have to work hard for my cash, either freezing my bag off outside or cooking to death in some damned compressor building,so ya if some dealer feels like they deserve my $ 100 dollars more than I do, I might reconsider my decision. Now look at your reply pfi572, that exact sentence works in reverse too.

Um ya I think we are on the same page. And know exactly who you are talking about and feel the same way.

I almost got ripped off by their aftermarket parts people too. Two different suppliers that they use for the same part I needed, one being half the price but uses a different P/N. Was quoted both prices by the chick but only the more expensive one was in their system. Neither one in stock. So she had to add the P/N in their system so they could order it which while she was doing this the manager said no we have to sell you the more expensive one. I said "Wait, so you're going to charge me double why? Just cause you can?" And he said quote "yup pretty much"! "Huh. Well fawk you and your crooked store then" I said and walked out.

I only buy stuff from there if it's an emergency. I'll lose money in fuel cost and time to buy my stuff out of town.

Like I said decent sales dept. but $hitty everything else there. Countless bad stories from people dealing with the service dept. also.

And this is the reason I feel being forced to buy local just cuz they are and not being able to share bad experiences is BS. People can say well there are three sides to every story, but when the same story keeps getting told by multiple people, a pattern emerges which I feel most of us should be able to recognize and set apart from the one off's.

Agree as to what your saying .
If a customer has been treated well and said dealer has helped me out with tools to repair something as I do a lot of repairs my self or gives me % 15 off on all parts and accessories ?

As a customer I would tend to lean to my local dealer and look past the small difference .
We all work hard for our $ in one way or another and toys are pricey.
I haven't bought anything new for a few years as to many low km units around for good savings. Lol
Cheers
