My 81 year old dad snuck into his home in Polo Park because he wanted to get his little generator running so he could pump the sewer back up out of his basement. Not flood water because his place was bone dry except for sewer back up and run his deep freezer to save his food. He stood in his house and watched 14 soldiers and 8 RCMP members going door to door and ramming the locked doors open and going inside. I wondered at the time he told me about this why they needed to ram all those doors open and go in. Didn't make sense. Now we find out they were searching for guns. Really? What is this society coming to? Anyway he went to his door before they could ram it down. They told him he had to leave. He said there are two retired RCMP down the street who have not left so he is not leaving either. He left his house later that day because he ran out of gas for the gen and realized he was fighting a losing battle. When he is allowed to finally go back, if they went back there after he left and rammed his door open I'm going to help him start a suit against the mayor of High River, The Alberta government and the RCMP.
