You have my attentionBought a Savage 25 when they first came out. Didnt stay stock long. Put a 3 speed transmission in it, upgraded radio, and a axial 32 engine. Things goes like a raped ape, But I hardly ever use it anymore. Thinking of selling it.
.What should I know about RC's? Considering getting one... I've always leaned towards the monster truck type ones with either gas or alcohal engine. Whats a good brand? What does it cost to get started? Thanks
I had always thought nitro was the most powerful/fastest RC's until I started looking to get one, the lipo powered brushless flat out destroy nitro buggies. the initial cost of electric is high, once you have the batteries and charger(s) it gets cheaper than nitro every time you use them. I can't believe how crazy fast 6S lipo is, the only place it's really fun is at the gravel pit where it spins instead of flipping over backwards all the time when you pin it....lol.
if ya like moster trucks get a HPI savage flux brushless electric $630 and the batteries about another $200 and you have one of thebest 1/8th scale around
or Traxxas E-Revo brushless $700 plus $250 for batts also great but not as tuff,, I have both lol actualy im going to sell my e revo...
Lipo battery is the way to go,, they are the fastest hands down almost too fast,, nitro is fun to listen too but its messy and half the performance well 1/4 performance
or mid line would be traxxas slash 2 or 4wd drive brushless start at $350 and battery $100 again only Lipo!!! and its great fun they are 1/10th size and very duarable and waterproof!!!
I just scored a almost brand new savage and have been annoying my neighbours for two days. If anyones looking to go for a bash fest drop me a pm. I think me and catmando might go out on sunday(sept4).

Tape the rear of the fuse right in front of the stabilizer....it likes to break there. we used to put tape around the center 5 inches of the wing as well. (Clear packing tape) After you break about 4 wings, 25 props, 5 cowlings, bust the tail off 2 or 3 times, then tear the motor off twice....you'll be ready to get a balsa model. LOL. Have fun eh!I just picked up a Piper Cub trainer from Hobby Wholesale in south Edmonton. 99 bucks ready to fly. This thing is a blast to fly and it is made of foam, so it is tough. When I was a kid in the 60's, I flew the nitro planes on the end of a string. I will learn on this one then build a gas powered warbird. I hope I never grow up.

Then you get Skis! Thanks for the tip.It has been a lot of fun to fly.My servo pack went up in a puff of smoke,so I went into town to get another. Came out of the store with a P51 Mustang. What a great way to kill time until it snows.
Been there, done that...hehehe.Then you get Skis!
