Ratcheting

[Mtn Escape]

I have an 03 Escape, last year I put in anti ratcheting drivers. Now I am hearing a metalic type ratcheting sound occasionaly in powder and I loose drive until I get off the throttle. I checked my chain and gears which which look ok. I don't now if it is related but I do hear the a similiar noise in reverse and find the belt half way down into the sheaves. I disassembled the secondary suspecting bad spring but looks ok. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The last set I installed on a sled that didn't have them,I had the same problem and wound up having to trim a half inch or so off the front of the rails look at the rail caps or the drivers for signs of wear.Hope this helps.:d:d:d

ya this to me when I installed extrovert drivers on my summit,when you pin it its fine but when you let off the throttle or get into bumps the bumpers on the front of the rails would hit the extroverts,take a look at your drivers they are probably starting to mushroom a little.Cut, grind the plastic buppers down not all the way to the rails but close.

I inspected the drivers, they do show signs of hitting something. I inspected the black rail tips, but no signs of hitting there. When I installed the drivers, I cut the rails back to where the limiting straps mounts to and also moved the whole skid back 1/2 as per the instructions from avid. Could there be elsewhere they might be hitting?
