We have great fir markets down here. Fir and cedar are king down here. Kalesnikoff lumber cuts mainly fir 90%.( to Japan and us)
atco lumber is a peeler plant so the two try to out bid each other o. The bcts sale to stay a float.
of course they leave thousand if not hundreds of thousands on table by doing this they grind the poor contractor to work for penuts because that gave all there bonus bid to the government.

Blown power divide basket last night. Will try and get the broken part back today for a picture. Quick and simple fix actually just sucks to happen last round.

Nice looking wood, how is the new G been working. Way nicer cab for sure, was definitely time for a update.

Operator had good things to say and the prototype waratah hardware was working well. He said no issues and his lengths were bang on.

Drives me nuts how much nice good gets wasted by the big dimensional mills turning it into 2x4's. Canfor, West Fraser and Tolko have never done a good job of developing a fir market. As FFR said cedar and fir are king down here, much more value added production. Bush run fir is going for about $100/m3 and Cedar is about $150/m3.

pay enough and we will truck it down. Qply takes some fir for peelers, but only mill with any interest so they dont pay much. Most loggers just leave it standing. We dont have Fir "patches" just random logs throughout the forest. You know what happens to random fir left standing. Of course about 100 bucks a meter is about what it would cost to haul it down there.

Not that hard up yet but prices keep going up $5-10/m3 a month it seems so might not be that far off. Buying cedar out of Likely right now.

Didn't get into what the changes were so I'm not sure what they are changing.
