Yesterday we could have sat there in a long sleve shirt. No kidding. No wind and -3. 2' of fresh and bluebird skies.
We did see some carnage though. One Rev on saturday hit a rock and shoved the motor back 2". You just had to be careful where you went. I didn't hit anything all weekend.
On sunday we were filming and when I turned around for another run a sled came ghost riding behind me. A guy came racing over and said that his buddy was cut pretty bad. He had hit a hidden rock and got cut just above the knee. Had to bring the bird in to fly him out. We did manage to get him onto a sled and back down to the cabin though.
Hey does anyone know if your supposed to contact the Canadian Avy Center when you see an avy? I seem to remember hearing that. It was a little un-nerving to see an avy like that where we often ride.
Thx

I reported the avy to the CAC. If you look at the pic it's right down to bare rock, that's scarry. What was even more surprising was the guys still riding in the area that it came down.
It was good to see everyone kick in to help when a rider gets hurt. Good people in this sport.
Cheers
