push tube options

well i got a free snow plow off a lawn tractor today and need some push tubes is there anyone that has made some home made tubes or a diffrent way of hooking it up to push snow the blade is 40''wide so it just covers my tire width.thanks

ive seen a few that utilize the rear hitch as the major push point, then are just stablized some how else under the machine to prevent side to side movement. seen a lot that mount near the pegs on older machines..

just look at different types of tube styles and try "african engineer" your own. the key is to have a spring loaded blade. i learned this with my plow the hard way.. well you hit something solid (ie a rock) something has to give and if its not the springs it will be the mounting hardware.

i was thinking a pice of metal 6inches wide boltd to the piovt point on the blade back to then hitch might work will try on the weekend
