I suspect you might need those guide type rollers for the tensioner and guide rollers.... With twisting of frame and rear suspension, i suspect the chain may walk off the sides of the guides? I could be wrong, but i doubt it

Quick solution might be fit big diameter fender washers on either side of the front chain roller to act as a chain guide?

Yep thats what you see in a lot of Ag applications however he is spinning things a lot faster lol

Agreed with the sprocket idea, maybe something like this https://www.grainger.com/product/FENNER-DRIVES-Composite-Idler-Sprocket-with-3ZP38?Pid=search it's 5/8" pitch so should work on any 5xx chain. Or if you're tight for time you could rivet UHMW or whatever available thin plastic strips on the inside of the tensioner side plates. My washer idea would tear the chain up pretty quick if it spent much time metal on metal.

4th gear 10k rpm hit 90mph! Then wheel bearing blew cause spacers were too tight against them in front spindle! Also water pump is wheeping.... time to do last minute repairs! I say top speed was success now dirt track!

your secret is safe with me. Just take Dave's advice. Specially if you are going to post the test runs up on U-tube. Remember what happen to the duck hunters in Saskatchewan that posted up their duck hunt. Didn't go so well or them. Would hate to see the same thing happen to you.
