I have also been doing some research.
Stay away from the axial pumps, and try to go with a triplex pump. It will be the difference between a washer lasting 3 years or 15 years. Home depot had a smokin deal on a dewalt unit. 3800 psi and 3.5 GPM... 50 foot hose.

they had it on for 899 and then you got a 150$ instant rebate.

I went into hotsy and ran out.. LOL the washers are the best in the industry there, but spendy!

I bought a Dewalt 3835 from Home Depot. 3800 psi, 3.5 GPM It is dangerous. I can see why the wand is so long. It's got the 50 foor hose, but I think I am gonna get a reel for it because it is a cheap stiff plastic one.

I just bought a hotsy this year for the shop, 250v, diesel heater, 3.5gpm and 3000psi. It was a bit pricey but it works amazing. I would try to stick with a washer that is electric and has a hose reel. set it up permanently with water hose and power and just flip a switch and your washing. I ran gas powered units for years and always had to drag out a hose, make sure it had fuel and listen to the noisy thing the whole time. then wrap up the hoses and put away. with it being such a hassle I would still take my vehicles to the car wash and use it mainly for the toys. how lazy did that sound! anyway just my $.02

I agree with going electric. My neighbour sold me a brand new unit he got at an auction.(peavey mart $500 sticker) for $200. Just flip the switch. I joined all the hoses I had laying around together for about 50-60' total. I have a honda 4hp washer and I hate it. Will sell for cheap or trade for quantity of Twisted Tea. Lol
