Think twice before you do that. it might be the worse thing to do unless you don't care about your credit rating. A long term credit card is an asset to a high credit score.

I am surprised that the credit card person did not have other questions to ask you. Until I looked mine up at the credit bureau, I couldn't have accurately answered that question on my credit cards...
She asked me 4 questions which I passed until that one Cat. Then the fight started

Must depend on the provider?
Have cancelled visa cards through Td and it has never affected mine.

Maybe you have a high credit score with lots of other history and it doesn't affect you, no idea. I am just going from what I have read.

One of the many factors the credit bureau's use to rate your credit is "length of credit history" I read that with Equifax, credit history makes up 15% of your credit score...maybe not a big deal to some but if you are building your credit rating, it could help. It is not good to have lots of credit cards...that will actually bring your score down. But having an active card for many years, shows credit worthiness.

Below has been copied from the Equifax website;

Length of credit history

This section of your credit history details how long different credit accounts have been active. Credit score calculations may consider both how long your oldest and most recent accounts have been open. Generally speaking, creditors like to see that you have a history of responsibly paying off your credit accounts.

When someone lists a bike/quad/sled for sale and says "fresh rebuild, has approx 40hrs on it". Sorry its not a fresh rebuild then. Fresh means you just had it rebuilt, ran it to make sure theres no leaks and its running good.

My rant today is: I work part-time and part of my job is filling propane tanks. Lots of people inform me that they can get the tank filled at Costco for about $10-12 for a 20pounder. That's great that they tell me that as they probably hope I will lower my price down to the Costco price. That will never happen. A few times I hand the tank back to them and suggest they take the tank to Costco as the pricing is WAY better and that's what I would do to save a bit of money. They always have a dumbfounded look on their face as the nearest Costco is 2.5 hours away. My boss loves when I do that.

I would just fill to $10-12 and ask if that’s all they want ?

It’s actually $12.59 for a 30 pounder.
There are actually stupid enough people, that would drive that far thinking they are saving a buck lol

I got served at the KFC drive through the other evening by someone wearing gloves that had obviously been worn for a while.At least 3 of her fingers were protruding out of the gloves. Just about drove away without food. I was really hungry though.
My wife was in Costco and as she’s leaving she sees this guy eating a ice cream cone with his gloves on that he was shopping with.
