Anyone one have artificial turf front lawn?

I highly considered it. did some shopping around, $6-10/sq ft was the genereal average amongst the different suppliers. high start up cost for sure, but you have to consider the costs that are ongoing

1-lawn mower
2-fertilizer
3-water
4-cutting(time, gas, oil, bags, beer)
5-whipper snipper
6-maintenance to machines

I was getting an appraisal during the time i considered it, and it wasnt until he mentioned i would see no gain to my 35000 dollar investment, i figured I would stick so sod.

my folks just did some synlawn at their farm, since they are on well, and the okanagan is hot hot hot, the irrigation alone would suck the well dry.

was 13000 for their few little sections

I personally love the stuff, but cant seem to cough up the doe to do it.

Let see 390,000 sq ft @ $8.00 sq ft avg = way to friggin much.:eek:

I'm sure the horses wouldn't like the taste of it either!!:d

sucks with that much snow in basement

Snowblower did the trick though. I actually believe it was best to leave it till the last day, kept the frost from setting in. It took only 3 days to thaw things out enough to get the plumbing in.:d

Siding just about completed on 3 sides of the house. Heat in the basement, but the frost is waging a good battle!!!

:d:beer:

I rented insulated tarps and hung on all exterior walls, covered all openings to main floor, and fired up 60,000 btu's of propane heat. I've gone through one 100lb propane tank so far, and the top 8-12" is frost free. I'll keep the heat going this week, then rent a jumping jack next weekend to pack the backfill clay.

100 lb tank lasts 3 days, and since I have all my washed rock already stacked in the basement, it restricted what I could use.

Hopefully have all rock spread and compacted, ready for insulation and tubing by end of next weekend.:d
