rent a stump grinder!!!!!!!! then you won't have to sharpen your chain every 30 seconds!!!!!!!! chain + dirt = sharp for about 10 seconds
What about burning it out?
is that a rock embedded inside the stump? cool.....
after having a few huskys I bought a stihl, nice saw. still have a husky trimmer, that thing has been awesome....starts every time, even the wife can get it running....lolYes this saw has seen it all. The first day I owened it I was cutting down a 100 foot elm half way trough the truck....sparks. The person who planted it must have used a 3/4 chunk of rebar to support it while planting and the tree grew around it. I bought the saw at Central equpt rentals 13 years ago, when I went back in to get a new chain I told them the saw was a POS wont cut rebar.... Funny the looks you get when people think your serious! Love the husky still starts after a couple pulls, next one will be Stihl after the changes I heard about Husky! But if I could go back I would buy 2!

I would have to build a fire pit around it and have a screen to cover it, to meet city bylaw
You could also buy a carbide tipped chain? A new chain would be like $30 bucks and it would last to get 'er out and then spend a couple hours sharpening....good luck

You care what city bylaw says? As long as you control it, who cares.
I have had bylaw come by my house several times and say something, and gladly tell them where to go.......
