I’m in the market for a new quad, what are pros and cons between poo 570 and brp 570?
Canned ham all the way, get at least a 800 . 570 to slow , and won't turn bigger tires. My 1st gen renegade has over 12000 kms with 30 inch tires . A canam 800 is only 70 hp . Maybe a 650 think 62 ish hp ? Can't remember but, any less would be like riding a Honda .
I had a 2011 cat 550 quad, put 7000 miles on it with very little issues, clutched with HMF exhaust. Snorkeled it and had 30” Zillas for tires. Pulled and winched out a lot of can am 800’s and poo 850’s after getting through the same hole they tried. Had no decals on it and everyone swore it was an 800. Still did 65 mph on roads which is plenty fast. Everyone said the same as you…… get a big bore, 550’s are slow and are always stuck, can’t spin a big tire….. blah blah blah. Sure made a lot of big quads look stupid. The 550’s and 570’s are light , easier on belts, way more agile and generally much more reliable.
