Well, believe it or not, Ive had good success using a soldering gun, and adding bits of excess plastic I carved from other spots of the piece into the plastic for filler, while holding a piece of metal behind the fix. If its in a place that flexes, I melt a piece of metal screening material (polaris gen 2 vent) into the plastic. I put together an entire smashed hood a few years ago. Whattaya thinka that? Crazy.
Anyone know a good, decently priced plastic welder around cowtown? Broke my side panel
lucky
He's gonna fix it up for me, and patch some holes on the other one for $100. Can't go wrong. Dropped off the panels today Pick up Monday
Rawdy,It's where it hooks onto the metal hook where the plastic holds go over...clear as mud?! I can't zip tie it
I would but I JUST put on my vent kit. Would prefer to fix if the price is right.
Heya J,
I ended up going with a vent kit from Menz Toys. Easy to install and he gave me good tips. Do not cut out the area completely. Instead drill holes that are in line with where the vent will be over.
In the pics you can see that I drilled holes in line with the mesh. Most of the spots I fit 3 holes down. I haven't put the vent kit on my hood yet but will do that this week. Also thinking of getting the ones for the front and back of the side panels to allow air flow.
Contact Wayne at Menz Toys. Good product.
looks good just not sure how it's gonna look when its green:d

I got the same vent from menz toys but mine did fit as nice as yours mine were almost to big and whated to ride the edges so I had to bend them in to fit....but the price was right
