So let’s hear it. What’s happening in all the sled community’s as of right now? Is sledding back on for this winter. Revelstoke, mcbride, valemount, Siccy.? Too me it shouldn’t even be a topic of discussion but it sure is quiet.

im in, will be riding either way, trails may be bumpy if they don't groom. Have accommodations with friends in the areas i ride but don't see it being a problem, stayed in valemount 4 times this summer and the place was hopping.

Signed up for a riding clinic in Fernie for February.
Planning on a December trip, and a couple January trips.
So see what happens. I'm thinking if the restrictions stay as is then there wont be any problems.

Work my A$$ of in summer ( I'm a mobile mechanic that works mostly on farm equipment) gives me lots of time off in winter ,,,,,,,, Hopefully
Just tough to find riding partners sometimes

I’m wondering about grooming, SAR, clubs and fees. It ended on a bad note this spring, which was really out of there control. I don’t make the rules I just play the game. I’m just wondering if the clubs will be going ahead with normal prep and are on track for a standard year.

My thoughts exactly, fall sled shows are all cancelled so we arent going to be able to inquire there.

That's awesome. When I contacted I had opportunities to do like that. I was just bad with money.
Now I work directly for a company so have to plan my holidays and spread them out over the year. Usually try and use two weeks for sledding. 2 in the summer. And one I'll break up and use a day here and a day there.

I definitely plan on having a fairly regular season coming up. My only hesitation is being a Red-Plater crossing over into blue-plate territory. Some of those cities/towns still don’t understand that their economy is largely supplemented by out of province tourism. I don’t want my vehicle to be targeted while I am there. I’d trust vale/mcbride more than I would golden/revy/siccy. I’d hope that clubs would be trying to set something up to help prevent that, otherwise they will really hurt for trail pass income.

I agree with you, imo it will depend on location if sledders are welcomed or not. I don't think anybody can actually know how it will be for so many people say the 2nd wave of virus can change things. Clubs are still advertising memberships for sale.So they want people there, and ast courses are being advertised so as of right now only change I can see are residences of certain areas. possible cabins will be locked up
