Been a couple years since I've done this ride and was kinda sad I couldn't join in this weekend. Hopefully next time!

Much better when it is warm out.

I've done the trip about 5 times now and the weather was only agreeable once. Every other time, we were getting poured on, snowed on, beat down by hail, or all of the above. Still a good adventure every time thopugh.

Yes you never know what the weather will do

We watched the rain come into the valley behind us.

Always a great ride

Fun to stay over in Nordegg also.

Bringing up an old thread because my memory sucks lol

Can someone pls email GPS file? Heading out next Sunday for a few days and have been trying to find my way back to the Caboose end of the rail line for quite some time but I can't remember how we got there years ago.

email sent, it’s an older gps route. Last trip we found large areas logged out and the trail was gone.
North side of hiway was chewed up bad at one of the creeks/ old trestle’s

Enjoy your trip

Wow, this area needs traffic and a bit of clearing. East of misty valley is not passable alone, need another machine as back up. Tried following GPS but couldn't even see where the trail used to be in some spots. West of Saunders was really good, but north side of highway is impassable and that's in a lifted rzr with dual winches and 28's. Great trip tho, would be nice with another machine or two tho so if anyone is heading out that way in the future pls PM me

Thanks again for the GPS map, saved my ass twice lol

Yes the trail is tough in a few spots.
A group of 2 or more makes it better.

Glad you enjoyed the ride

I agree, 2 or more is better. On that note, a buddy and I would like to tag along if anyone is planning a ride from Rocky to Nordegg in the next few weeks. We took the trail a number of years ago and would like to try it again with someone who is familiar with the route and the POI's.
