went into wolverine with a group of ten on saturday. if you go back far enough the snow is ok at best. chest deep in some areas, with no base. stumps and rocks everywhere. if you can get to the tree line, your ok, but anything lower needs more snow. if the snow is bad at wolverine, its usually worse at bullmoose and core lodge. if your coming all that way, dont expect much. seems like there is snow at valemont, etc... but not inb tumbler. kakwa opens this weekend, not sure how much snow the b.c side has. if its less then a meter it stays closed. im gonna head up to hassler, hopefully its not as busy as last weekend.
Trying to load a video from up at the wolverine in tumbler on saturday but not succesful. It was pretty decent snow once we got back in past the cabin into the meadows. Had a group of 14 and only carnage was a bogie wheel off my m8 got a little twisted after tagging a rock at the core lodge on friday. All in all it was a pretty decent weekend.
Yesterday and earlier today it's been like living in a snowglobe that's just been discovered by a two year old, so I'm predicting conditions out in the mountains are going to be pretty rocking for the weekend. That, however, is just speculation and based only in the...what? 15 to 20 cm of fresh snow in downtown Tumbler....
Still trying to figure this tapatalk out
