Official Tumbler Ridge Area Conditions 2013

Sweet. Looks like Tumbler Ridge is getting an early winter! Hey I'm writing a destination piece on sledding in Tumbler Ridge for SnoRiders magazine. Is there anyone who could answer a few questions I have about the trails, riding areas and what not?

Snow is knee deep at best at bull moose. Lots of rocks, even on trail. Needs another 3 ft.

Where did you go? Did you follow the other sled tracks?

I mostly stuck to the road in. Someone was in there with a vehicle, so I should have known right there to stay away. I went pretty much to the end of the trail. Couldn't access the bus from the bottom side. Went up the mt speaker access road, but the atv trail to the summit is not deep enough yet. Even above the tree line the snow was pretty shallow. If the snow is good at bull moose, its usually great everywhere else. Wolverine kinda sucked last year, bull moose was horrible. We need a few days of 0 degree weather to set a base, then another 2 or so more feet of fresh before anything is ridable. Mid nov usually is ok. Next days off ill try again. Up side to it all, turbo runs great,

current minus 10 and lightly snowing

i did go out bull moose last night for a ride there was 6 fresh and a foot or so of hard snow
