With the new mandates in place, theoretically no commercial sources of fuel of any grade are ethanol free anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some to be found randomly by luck, but it probably varies by each batch delivered. I definitely would not take the fuel jockeys word for it either.
Even my local go to off-brand, little country store, marked premium started to contain ethanol mid last winter. Only about 2% however. It is co-op fuel, and I even called the plant directly when I switched to it about 5 years ago. I just grabbed a can a few days ago. I should give it a test.

My understanding is all gasolines are mandated to contain a certain amount of ethanol. Marked gasoline doesn’t fall under that mandate to the best of my knowledge.
Maybe someone more in tune with the mandates can chime in.

Where can you get 100LL? I called springbank airport in Calgary and he said they aren’t allowed to fill “portable fuel containers” anymore…

I think Shell 94 is highly oxygenated and is designed for high revving 4 stroke engines and should not be used in 2 stroke sleds. Stick with Shell 91.

Why the huge concern over ethanol? Not preferred I get, but not sure why the panic. 95% of sleds are running it.

All shell fuel now contains ethanol, this happened when they came out with their new 93octane. Look up vancityaudi on youtube he has some good videos on shell fuel. Ethanol is fine in modern vehicles it can even see benefits to power although suffers a bit with fuel economy. Ethanol is not prefered in 2 strokes as it does not mix well with 2stroke oil and it can pull moisture into your fuel which is not the best in a winter environment. Shelf life is not the greatest either. For guys that ride a ton the ethanol is probably never in the tank long enough to cause issues but for someone like myself who only gets out once a month during the winter months i try to source ethanol free when possible

If it matters to you, test it yourself and don’t trust anything listed online or especially what the staff say. You can simply add some water to the fuel in a small glass container, shake it up and the ethanol will separate and add volume to the water. Use a proper testing vial (cheap) to read the actual ethanol %.
