How many can still hear the sound of 2” plastic paddles on the mountain ????? My buddy Don and Propane Blaine had some very nice 90’s Mod 650 wedges. They had 2” paddles and ran 1.5 inchers back then

The ride down the old Allan trail, in the spring, on plastic separated
The men from the boys.

Blaine had a white Indy 500 that was a asskicker, was only a whisker behind the 650’s and ran very consisten!
Years later Blaine and a sales guy from CW was in Oasis with deep pow,we nearly spent the night. There was some wild trail blazing in the dark and we made out

I never saw the 500. he was running the Blue wedge in the pic when I rode with him. . Was a punched out 650 to 700. Built by specialty. ( flatlanders )

That’s wild. Did he manage to hang onto any of them ?

Not that I know of.
He used to hillclimb for CW.
He rides still but not in the mountains as far as I know.
I was not into dumping money into sleds at that time.

First pic is 1993 Indy Lite with 488 engine, riding that machine was when the exploring started for a small group of us.
Second pic is 1982 440 TX-C that I started with in 1986,was long tracked and tapered tunnel in 1988.
Third pic is restaurant place mat from late 80’s of Valemount Hotel. The first two years at Hotel was $27 per person, that included your room ,full breakfast, trail lunch and supper. That did not include refreshments in the bar🤓

My old S chassis with a Split Second 809. Loved that sled, should have kept it. Still have a 96 Mach Z LT to put around on the river to listen to that great triple sound

Looks like cycleworks trailing arms on that one, they used to make nice stuff. Don’t get me wrong, Baker, Mountain Magic, Echnolm(or how ever you spell it) all made beautiful stuff but the Cycle Works stuff stood out with the machining look, was different and cool. It was such a cool era. 🍻

Not as kool as the old iron but, 2012 163 RKT 858, v force, full dyno port exhaust, 2.5 challenger. Ended up gearing up and it liked it. Picked up track speed. Had rooster weights, and team tied secondary. I used 2013 monoblock for thicker skirts. Loved 8500 rpm.

Where did all these old mods end up? Must be still some around? Never see any listed for sale.

Most of them are blown up in the sled graveyard. The good ones are in peoples secret stash.
