Newbie from Southern California

Hey guys, I just got my first bike from a friend a few weeks ago. My wife's gone crazy with all the little $14 parts I've bought, but I just can't wait to get the bike 100% so I can go out for my first ride. With any hobby I find having a great forum with lots of good people to be super helpful. I already have a problem I will post in general, if you can help out (or it needs to be moved, mods) then its greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah! The bike is a 85` yz250.
