I want to put an Aerocharger on my Summit XM and I'm looking for some opinions on a few things.
Who's the best place to deal with around Edmonton for turbos? I know Mountain Magic does them but I haven't heard to much about them on here. I checked out their web site and it looks pretty crappy…. does anyone deal with them? What about Absolute Power and Performance? If I don't install it myself I'd like to go to a place with a good service reputation that will back their product and work. That being said should I do the install myself or should I have a sled shop do it? I'm very mechanically inclined but I don't want to waist 3 trips to the hills trying to get everything properly tuned. Any experiences would be appreciated.

If your mechanically inclined and work on sleds, this will be a enjoyment to do, instructions when I did mine three years ago were fine and it took me good part of a day, I've installed a few since then and it keeps me in good practice for trouble
shooting, make sure to solder all wiring and And run good fuel first trip
out and you will be fine

some turbo kits don't allow install by yourself and that can be fine, but when things screw up, your driving back to them, aero has some great videos to explain most of the install on their website....

The kit on their website looks pretty good but I wasn't to sure about their clutch. I imagine the bulk of their customers would be in the US at different elevations …. Do you think what they offer would alright?

We currently have kits in stock and are in the middle of installing 2 at the shop if you want to see. Our shop demo just sold so it is not available for viewing. As far as set up goes we clutch and tune them for our elevation as we ride what we sell. I am sorry if our website is not the best but come down to the shop and we will be happy to show you around and discuss turbos. 8524 - 126 ave Edmonton.

For clutching there kits are very close, when your making 230hp you will not be to worried if your at 8000 or 7700rpm your first ride out...lol

I installed 24 grams in the primary, put 415 ramps in, my first ride on the turbo and tweaked the rest with the schockwave helix...

After three years, running very similar stuff, with minor changes.. Make sure your clutch is in good shape overall and you will be we'll on your way with that setup

I should have said "not current" instead of "crappy" about the website. I used to always hear about Mountain Magic but for the last little while I haven't seen much written on here with any reviews so I wasn't to sure what's going on. I've read a ton of good and bad reviews about TSS but nothing local to Edmonton so that's why I wanted some opinions. I'll stop by later this week.

When you take it out for a rip you should write a review. It sure helps guys like me to hear about other peoples experiences with a product / service before I make a decision. I'm sure there's tons of other guys out there to who like to know how the whole experience goes…. I know if I get a turbo every single guy in the group I ride with is going to go out a buy one to lol.

I would install the kit yourself, it took me 4 hrs, granted I have installed other kits before but this was my first aerocharger and was very self explanatory, no cutting or splicing of wires, all plug and play, comes with all clutching, gearing, vents, gauges etc. little tip= use a stiffer secondary spring with their helix and don't gear up as high as they recommend.. mines runs perfect...

A buddy just installed an aerocharger on his '12 xp etec.
He removed the estart and installed a pull yesterday. Fired it up fine put into reverse and it quit. Hasn't started since. Any ideas guys? Thanks

Did he hook up his ground wire correctly, had happened to me a few years ago and took coil out... Needed a dealer to trouble shoot

He definitely hooked something up wrong and shorted. Put it back to estart setup and still no go.
Heading to dealer for trouble shoot tomo.

Yes that what is sounds like to me, will need to replace coil, not the kits fault... Human error

Yep for sure. Live and learn. Especially after he missed a few days of good riding.

IMO stay away from absolute. Talks the talk. Then takes the $$$. He is a vendor on here so I can't give the half dozen or so stories but deano is the man. Mountain magic is great also.
