Exactly!!! Leftists are all about control. They want to destroy the middle class and make us dependent on them. I'm in the process of buying a small oilfield business and taking over the family farm. If conservatives don't get in next term I might have to find a new country where hard work can get me somewhere. It's sad when those of us working 100 hour weeks aren't much farther ahead than lazy pieces of sh!t on welfare.

Being part of a small (but growing rapidly) business, I can only imagine how this is going to affect us. Like others have said, you work harder so you can pay more taxes for some freeloaders. Its getting increasingly harder to make a profit when every time you turn around, some politician has their greasy d!ckbeaters in your wallet, demanding more. I guess this is what happens when you have an inept prime minister who's hardest task in his "working" career was taking class attendance in drama school...

The problem is the "liberal way"... Take from those that work and give to those that don't...
If your only job consists of a couple hours every 4 or 5 years to vote, you can spend the rest of the time procreating thereby giving yourself +- $7200/yr raises....
Just think after 10yrs you'll be in that 100k+ snack bracket...all this for "voting and fawking"...Justins "chosen people" got this angle covered...

Hello all, Yes JT is garbage and everything the liberals stand for threatens our hard working lives, we can all agree on that. I also own a small oilfield business and farm so these new taxation initiatives will be especially hard on me. I got real pissed off, did some digging, sent some emails and found out that there is an independent panel that will be approving these changes and they must first review and consider all emails s not to this email,

fin.consultation.fin@canada.ca

I strongly suggest we all let them know exactly what we think, just because we don't have the numbers to be heard clearly at the polls doesn't mean we can't have a voice. If you have any other questions about the proposals or the process please visit this website and PLEASE pass this on:

The crap Trudeau has pulled in the last year or so, no answering to the ethics commissioner either. The CBC has nothing but good to say about Justin. Meanwhile with Harper, they just keep bringing up Mike Duffy and how Harper let him get away with stealing money ( all made up lies by the way). Kind of reminds me of what they say about Trump...all lies. No one is holding the media accountable for this, and stupid people are swallowing all this crap.

None of this will hurt JT either, cause him and his dad let millions of immigrants into Canadas that rarely ever make so called $150k a year

Haha, yes I have actually sent several emails asking a lot of questions about the structuring of his income trust and his elusive numbered companies that get fed from the Pierre Trudeau foundation, which is given millions of taxpayer dollars a year by the way, and believe it or not the only response I've received to date is " the folks that manage the Trudeau fortune due so within the current rules and regulations." What a fkn joke this clown is, Turdeau and his band of merry little cacksmugglers all need to take a long walk off a short pier into the Atlantic. The whole thing really puts an exclamation point on the fact that those privileged silver spoon fed little bitches out east think that because they have old money that they didn't have to work for it makes them smarter than us who are working hard to make something of ourselves. Well I for one have had enough, by emailing our opinions and realistic concerns to

fin.consultation.fin@canada.ca

we actually have a shot at stopping this before it gets out of control.

Thanks

After Pierre Trudeau got finished with his immigration of immigrants, you could no longer leave your keys in your truck with rifles hanging on rack. Everything has to be locked up or it is stolen.....and it is your fault. WTF !!!

Found this but haven't fact checked yet.

Please read, the Finance Ministers family will personally gain from this legislation! !

It's 's becoming clear that some very wealthy Canadian shareholders tied to Finance Minister Bill Morneau are positioned to benefit handsomely from the proposed federal tax changes for incorporated small businesses and professionals. As Canadians, we should be paying very close

One option for small business owners will be pension-type savings options for small business owners called Retirement Compensation Arrangements (RCAs) and Individual Pension Plans (IPPs, geared more towards business owners in their 50s).

These retirement savings plans/products were suggested to us as potential next steps if the proposed federal tax legislation affecting small business goes through. (For context, given our incorporated structure, if the legislation is passed, any income we draw when we retire will have been taxed at a rate of 73%. Clearly, this doesn't seem like a fair deal for a lifetime's worth of work, so we—like every other incorporated small business owner out there—are working hard to understand what our options are.)

Today, from an All Nova Scotia article (Sept 19), we learned that the largest provider of these pension plans in Canada is none other than Morneau Shepell.

That's right, Morneau Shepell—the multinational benefits/pensions consulting firm founded by Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau's dad, William Frank Morneau, Sr. in 1966, with annual revenue in 2016 totalling $592 million Cdn. It's the largest benefits and pension firm in Canada.

Today, William Frank Morneau is listed as honourary chair and founder of Morneau Shepell on the company's website. And Bill Morneau, according to the All Nova Scotia article, "...controls over 2.2 million Morneau Shepell shares worth over $47 million based on the closing stock price on Monday."

If the federal government brings in their proposed tax changes, led by Justin Trudeau and Finance Minister Bill Morneau, incorporated small businesses across Canada will be forced to close their holdings companies and opt instead for other retirement savings strategies... like the private pension plans offered by Morneau Shepell.

So who really stands to benefit from the legislation that's being positioned as changes to make the tax system fairer?

That's right: Bill Morneau, major shareholder in Canada's largest pension corporation. Bill Morneau, Canada's Federal Finance Minister. Bill Morneau, the guy who keeps saying he's closing "loopholes" and "fancy accounting schemes" that give wealthy Canadians unfair advantages over the middle class (...you know, those greedy farmers and doctors and local business owners and such).

While doctors are making calls to healthcare organizations offering jobs south of the border, and small business owners nearing retirement are looking at having to work for several more years, and family farms and businesses passed on through generations face being penalized for passing them down to their kids (and rewarded for selling them to anyone other than their kids), and young couples who've put everything on the line to start their dream business come to terms with the fact that the rug has been pulled out from under them, Morneau Shepell directors and shareholders must be rubbing their hands together in eager anticipation of the windfall to come their way.

If there's a "fancy accounting scheme" that deserves the government's full attention right now, including a thorough Conflict of Interest investigation, I think it's staring them right in the face.

That is exactly what I am hoping. I would really like to see the conservatives change their tactics though. Have been a loyal conservative voter all of my life but find their handling of issues like this often childish and unprofessional. They need to lay off the attacks and focus on facts. Develop a plan that is clearly better and focus on promoting that rather than the constant attacks. Yeah it might feel good, but you arent coaxing any centrist voters over.

As usual a lot of guys with no clue what they are talking about, has anyone bothered to call their chartered accountant for some real information and advice. As a small biz person this has very little to no affect on us. Just a bunch of fear mongering..

For the record, I don't support Trudeau, but I do try to understand the facts first.

I am just hoping the CBC and Omar pay their taxes on the millions and billions of tax payer money. And Trudeau claims his true amount he spent on his lavish holiday at the tax payer expense.
