Looks like they are going to announce that they won't allow single men in the 25,000 bloodsuckin....er' refugees.

News said last night the Libs were going to bring in 25,000 at a cost of 100 million. Now they are going to bring in 10,000 by the new year (first of many broken election promises I promise) at a cost of 600 million. Really? Why all the extra money and where the hell is it going? I think he is referring to the liberals announcing one cost and having it end up costing multiple times more. I do like that they are going to spend a little more time screening these individuals before letting them in though.

to be honest I am baffled why the issue of refugees is such a huge issue (aside from them being from Syria). Canada has been receiving thousands of refugees every year from some pretty questionable areas of the globe. Here is a list by the Canadian government.

I think many are opposed to the entire refugee situation but don't actually know how many and from where they actually come from, so when it is publicly announced by the media that 25,000 are coming from Syria they get outraged. If most people knew that there were others that came from other countries on a regular basis they would probably protest them too.

And also with the current economy a lot of people are scared of them taking their jobs.

so in other words the media is failing to tell people the whole story and cherry picking the info. Our leaders do the same. During the elections as you know there was a lot of discussions about refugees coming in. What the conservatives failed to tell people that they have been allowing thousands to come in during their watch too. So typical to get votes from the uneducated. Hence the reason I don't trust a politician or what the media is telling us. Pretty sad TBH.
