People are spending like its going out of style. Every industry is booming but can't get enough product.

is that like 10 mil per canadian? I havent seen 1 dime of that
in fact still waiting for my 2021 return fawkers still owe me 6gs plus interest
$10,000 per Canadian, I guess I’m part of the problem have taken the 2 x small business payments with $20k free

Have not spent it haphazardly as our costs are way up and supply chain issues have hurt me.

Nice to see someone take that program because they needed it. Everyone I know that took it didn't need the money but were attracted to it for the portion they didn't have to pay back. Another Trudeau idea that was a failure.

You realize smart phones have microprocessors in them as well as car and trucks? A big problem with the chip shortage for North America is the plant in Texas that went down in the 2020 ice storm for months. When you think of how many times they can make in just one day it’s pretty easy to see how manufacturers can get behind the eight ball in such a short time.
yes but how may cell phones. tv, and consumer electronics come come Canada or the US? next to nothing they all come from china... How many veh and recreation toys come from china? next to none the recreation toys that come from china have never had a shortage through this whole thing.... See the big picture

It's a strategic manufactured shortage just like the food/fuel/lumber/toilet paper shortages.

Actually I would beg to differ. I would think most electronics come from Japan. Apple is a US company and has the largest market share of the smart phone category. Samsung is number 2 and built in South Korea. Huawei is the only electronic device that comes to my mind from China and that pops in my head. I can’t think of any TV’s , stereo’s, based in China for sale in North America?

Toilet paper and lumber shortages were not manufactured, not that it will change your mind I'm sure. One was related purely to consumer demand and the other to supply side constraints due to curtailments because of commodity prices below production costs in late 2019/early 2020 as well as a further pullback anticipating demand crashing because of C-19. As we know the opposite happened and demand was near record levels due to 14 year highs of US housing starts and unprecedented demand in the Renovation & Repair segment due to gov't handouts and nesting.

it’s possible to get a glimpse of how big the world really is when you research electronics sales.

Apple alone sells 880,000 phones a day, the China plant owned by foxconn employs 350,000 people And has capacity to make 500,000 phones a day…. If people wonder where the chips might be going.

You will never convince the conspiracy crowd. Every problem we have was done on purpose by some controlling all knowing overlord or foreign country....

Sleds and trucks will be delayed because all the spoiled kids in the world need to upgrade their smartphones everytime a new one is introduced.

As far as toilet paper shortages at the start of the pandemic one only has to look at all the retards with a years supply of toilet paper on their carts at Costco. That was obvious to see.

You are correct the panic buy made those shortages. Several plants in canada and they had lots of supply. Just couldn't get it shipped out fast enough for all the hoarders.
