Final practice was dominated by Chevrolet taking the first 5 positions however only 19 cars ran in that practice with most of the top Ford teams not participating: 88-95-48-75-5-14-24-6-77-22

Dale Jr. hinted this may not be his last race at Daytona. He said he is open to subbing for a driver here or there and plans to run some Xfinity races next year for his team. He has also been linked to a TV job and hinted he would be open to that.

The crowd went crazy at Daytona qualifying today as Nascars favorite son rose to the occasion and snagged the pole today. Jr. Nation has high hopes that this will be the race that gets him into the Chase. Here were the top 10 in qualifying today: 88-24-2-5-4-17-22-1-21-10

It was a wild one at Daytona last night with a lot of big names caught in wrecks including Junior. Another surprise winner with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. taking the checkered flag for Roush and Ford for the second time this season. Lots of unfamiliar names in the top 10 with the late race big one: 17-14-27-95-31-38-175-47-77-37

Crazy race last night. Looked more like a demolition derby. At least Danica has been to Victory Lane twice this year, just not in her car!!!!

She is very happy, at least one of them will have a job next season.

She is rumoured to be out of her ride. Lots of rides opening up next year. 88-5-10-6? William Byron could move up in the Hendricks rank. Same with Alex Bowman? Will Edwards come back if the right ride opens up?

Did Brad get his deal with Penske? It's up for renewal I think.

Still no news Ray. Not sure why you wouldn't sign him up before someone else does?
