Great race by the 78 team. Dominated all three stages. Larson may have had a car to win if he didn't get the speeding penalty.

Final results. 78-42-24-11-18-77-1-22-4-21

Larson looked good coming from the back twice, but a guy cant forget he never got to challenge Truex so there is no telling if he could have come close to catching the class of the field that 78 car was.

Couple notes out of the race. Once again Kyle Busch's car was missing at least one lug nut at post race tech. Minimum $10,000 fine. When will they figure it out? Also Matt Kenseth made it known he will not be at JGR next year in the 20 car. Lots of talk he is tabbed to move to the 88 car next year till William Byron is ready to make the jump.

Its official. Eric Jones to the 20 car next year. No word on what happens to Kenseth or the Furniture Row's second car team.

42 car failed post race at Kentucky for unapproved rear brake cooling assy. Penalties were just released today and they are stiff.
2nd place finish encumbered
$75,000 fine to crew chief
3 race suspension to crew chief
35 driver and owner points taken away
Went from points leader to -34 in one race.

Is it my imagination but is there a lot of cheating going on this year?

Coors Pole Qualifying had quite the stir today. The 42 car swept all 3 Qualifying rounds to win the pole but had it taken away after post qualifying tech found an unapproved rear deck lid. So the new Pole winner now becomes the 78 car. Here is the top 10 qualifiers:78-48-20-1-5-77-18-11-41-2. 42 car to the back and expect big penalties announced next week for the second week in a row.

Hard fought win today for Denny Hamlin as he races his way into the Chase. Here were the top 10 finishers: 11-42-78-20-4-19-14-41-2-48. Both Larsen and Johnson came from the back at the start of the race.

Joey Logano had a brutal day that got worse when a rear suspension part broke. Nascar seemed very interested in the part and confiscated it. If found guilty the 22 car may have cheated its way right out of Chase contention.
