Kurt needs to peddle faster or get a win. Lol.
that team has been right there for weeks. they seem to pull off slow stops toward the end though. i'm actually not cheering for kurt as much as the team themselves. I just think they deserve a big one. he is pretty good at plate tracks and there is degga coming later in the chase.

Dr. Jerry Punch says the normal recovery time for an injury like Stewarts is 5-7 months. Ouch!

Kurt is a great driver. Maybe even better than his brother. It would be huge for that team to make the Chase. A better pit crew would go along ways towards that.

Times are a changing. Last night on SPEED I watched the last Speed Center and Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain. These 2 programs have been axed as Fox Sports 1 takes over SPEED's programming before next weekend. When names like Mario Andretti, Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson, Dario Franchitti and Michael Schumacher do testimonials for there love of this programming then one has to ask some hard questions on the direction of Racing programming on the companies plate. Get ready for more College basketball and football programming boys.....

Not sure if we will get Fox Sports 1 on our Bell package. Have to check with my provider. I would assume we will lose Victory Lane as well. I hope they don't cut practices and qualifying out as well.

Austin Dillon to drive the 14 car in Michigan. No word if he extends beyond that.

Buddy of mine told me yesterday that Ford is getting out of Top fuel Funny Cars in NHRA. Basically they are terminating there relationship with John Force. Apparently they want to concentrate on there Mustangs in the Sportsman classes. How do you tell John Force, the most winningness driver in NHRA history that you are turning off the taps? Wow.....

all good things must end. nhra has lost such popularity because of the allowance of strict team domination. I think jf is great and have met him in person many times but they let him dictate much of what happens in fc. that burns bridges. PRO STOCK, at one time the most sought after popular class of nhra drag racing, now can't even fill a 16 car field. Bye runs in the opening round because of only 15 cars. "WHAT THE F@#%" I remember when there was 20+ cars trying for one of those 16 spots. TOO MUCH FOCUS ON FUEL CLASSES. no exposure brings low sponsorship dollars. Ken, I could rant about this for hours. now i'm all worked up, lol.

Sad thing is....been to a couple events in person. When the top fuel rails and Funny Cars are done everyone leaves and goes for a stroll through the pits. I've seen it in alot of types of racing. Everyone comes for the shock and awe classes and the lower classes take it on the chin. Not everyone can start racing in a pro class but everyone wants to. At least in racing I've been around. Force will get a sponsorship from Toyota or someone else. Just strange to see him promote another brand after all the years with Ford.

it will be different. when force was running olds and had tony pedregon driving for him it was actually tony that brought ford to the force camp. I think ford is looking for another bob glidden. nice guy, made true ford power and won a lot of races.

To me the Pro Stock class makes sense for a manufacturer. They could race there Mustang against Camaro's, Chargers or Camry's or whatever. Brand identification, brand loyalty, etc. Now like you said Ford needs to find a Bob Glidden. Lol.

JPM out of the 42 car at the end of the year. No replacement yet named. Reports saying he may stay in the Ganassi fold possibly in an Indy Car.
