I can tell you that since I rode the muskoka boost for a full day and I now rode my 23 for a full day that in a drag race the boost that altitude built would have been a few sled lengths ahead of the doo but the clutching on the doo is not good, we will be doing some work on mine in the very near future, the boosts will be in the rearview mirror I hope!

LOL paul, the clutching on the G5 is perfectly fine. IS it perfect? no. but its a far stretch from "bad"

There is always room for improvement with tuning. The manufacturer engineer explained to me that they are shooting for a set up that will be workable in all snow conditions and altitudes. He explained to me after riding my Summit years ago that mine was set up better than his for the altitude we were riding that day but in lower or higher it may not be. Anybody like Dragonlain will always have customers to make happy simply because of this. It’s great for the aftermarket guys that’s for sure.

Stock vs stock, the boost is already in the dust.

Niner had it right in one of his posts. He built his sled to keep up with the G5 and tuned boosts.

Unfortunately Not yet, heading to Revy this weekend.
Pretty pathetic winter so far.
me neither, should have been in sicamous this weekend, but…
I’m interested to hear what you think of the G5

It took the third season for Skidoo to get their turbo to perform. Polaris has only had 1 season on the snow so far so given equal time I think you will be surprized. It won't look like the original Boost by then but the 21 turbo Doo is not the same as the 23's either.

I think Matts old man would benefit from a 175. Us old guys need all the track we can get 🤣
I’ve always thought so, I want to slide around through the trees like an old Jackfish floats through the weeds! Effortless, Slow and smooth with a little burst every now and then to get where I want to go!

Old guys don't need a 175 anymore since the new sleds have more power and are lighter. I should know I have a 165 and a 174. (and I'm old enough) I now get around better on the 165, even in deep bottomless snow. Same traction being lighter but more manueverable means less energy burned. And when stuck the lighter sled is way easier to free.
