1. Think of all the Mud Bogs you have attended (Truck, ATV or both) and what is the best thing about them?
2. For the best Driver/Spectator enjoyment do you think: Time/Distance Runs OR Head to Head Racing Runs are the best?

Head to head is exciting, but timing means more...If you have two fast bikes match up one advances and the other does not. Same if you have to slow bikes...So it is not really fair head to head....imo. i would like to see 2 runs , one in each pit then average the time....

side by side runs are the best to watch, but go on best overall time instead of elimination (unless you have a large number of rails), and for pit types, wide and long are the best, for the mud have it at a depth that will let people make it through, but not easy enough where its a complete drag race, say for you trucks running good hp and 38's or under have it setup to take 20-25seconds for 200ft, makes it fun for the crowd, saves time on pulling trucks (btw hook up the trucks prior to entering the pit, and have a quad there to drag cable and an extra truck to drag dead trucks out of the way). too.

Also prestage the entire class in view of the spectators, and if the trucks are making it through on the way back have them drive back in front of the crowd of theres room.

May want to see if a local machinery dealer wants to sponsor the bog. Sometimes you will see tractors with dealership signs pulling trucks out.

we use a hoe for pulling. each truck has a strap hooked up before they enter the pit and a kid just has to hook it to the hook on the bucket. allot easier than draging cables or any of that crap. You can watch a video under my post of 12 valve cummins build. the pit was perfect for the 38.5 tire class. jeeps with 35 boggers could just barley make through.

Was just at mud bog in forestburg should have 2 side by side runs switching lanes maybe total time because one lane was clearly faster than the other and whoever got it had a huge advantage.
