Yikes:yikes:This started as a very scary post. Yes quadding in BC is about scenery and folks need to leave the thoughts of mud and tire spinning at home and just come here to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains. Anyone looking for info is welcome to call me anytime at 250-566-4817 and I will be happy to make certain that your trip to Valemount is a success. Our website also has some great rides listed along with Google Earth and Garmin GPS files to download.Enjoy
My buddies and I are going up on Sept 15 weekend for the first time in Vale. Would like to find some really challenging trails and climbs, great views and lots of height. No worries, we stay on trails in BC and stay out of the mud. The areas listed on your sight seemed a little light and tame without much challenge.Any ideas of where to go. One friend has been up their snowmobiling lots but I I would guess it looks a lot different without snow.Any help or direction would be great.Thanx

Im very sorry, but from what it sounds like, you will not find the trails in Valemount that you are looking for. ALL of our trails are existing FSR / Old FSRs, we have NO off road bed riding in the area really. Sorry, but it is what it is.....Pls call me if you want to chat at 2505664817

PS Our snowmobiling areas all all mainly off limits. You may ride into Clemina on the existing road system, but DO NOT go off trail as I deal with this challenge every day..........including today:nono:

Was up there last weekend. The Ptarmigan trail is a wickedly beautiful trail which we were looking forward to exploring again, but between a missing bridge and impassible avalanch, you can't quite make it 2km in. Other than that trail, we weren't all that successful at finding a bush trail that we could ride on for the entire day since just abiout everything we found dead ended or had a washed out bridge. ...still some beautiful trails if you don't mind riding FSR's.

Yes, we were choking on the dust from Kinbasket road on the way to the Ptarmigan trail and we got sick of the dust, so we never did go all the way to the Hugh Allen. Maybe Curtis can comment if the Small River and North Thompson FSR's are as dusty.

Trick is guys to give a bit of distance between you. No need to be on his butt breathing that dust. OR cover your mouth with a dust mask or cover of your choice. Goggles are a must also.
Almost all of the FSR in BC have a dust factor to them burt proper spacing helps

Curtis was a great help on our first trip to Valemount with our SxS and even provided info on a couple off map trails. Canoe mountain is a long and rocky climb but a must do ride. Didn't miss the mud and skeg at all and was really able to push my machine on some of the fsr and trails. We didn't ride around Kinibasket lake on either side as we spent all our time at the lake out on the water fishing and relaxing just taking in the beautiful scenery.
