Just wondering about Alberta mountain riding areas if they close down the borders on us? I only know of a few. Blairmore area, Kakwa, Sugar bowl west of Rocky Mountain house, Onion lake, but not really mountain riding. Lots of trail areas but looking for more of mountain riding areas.

When you say “mountain”.....do you actually mean “powder”....?

Good luck. No one has found any yet and we have been looking forever

I must be confused on what mountains are? These were taken last year in SW Alberta!

You prolly crossed into BC on your journey Aaron. Lol. You are very close where you guys ride. However from a person that rides Revy and Sicamous all the time you can have West Castle and Carbondale all to your self lol.

My dad always raves about being able to ride in k country. Think they used to ride up by spray lakes and down by highway 40. He’s still bitter at Peter Lougheed for shutting it down. Too bad we could never it that back opened up again

I heard that to. Mind you the sleds back then were pretty limited in their reach. I heard the snow was better in K country than places like Carbondale and Westcastle. We just can't ride it.

I’ve been down to crowsnest pass area only once, south of there actually at Castle, it was half-decent, would be curious to explore that area more as I like meadows and tree riding more than steep alpine.

Happy to show you around. Shoot me a PM when winter hits.

Looks nice. What kind of riding and any issues with breaching the parks?
Pretty sure hes joking on bow summit, dont think you can ride in there, cross country ski and hiking up for downhill turns for skis and snowboard i believe. Drove through there many a time on the way to revy, always wanted to unload and tear up.that meadow and lake

Maybe they travel into the park then drive into area bordering the boundary, offload and ride?

Look 20 min west of Longview lol.

^^^^^ this, head over fording pass into elk valley. lots and of good riding on that side once in the valley. Hah a hell of a lot faster than driving around and unloading as well. Rip up bighorn cabins is still one of my favourites.

dutch creek area, well there’s 3 pass a guy can easily access for good riding.
