I'm in the market for new gear.
My Klim stuff is 5 yrs old (almost 20,000 k's with 70% trees) and no issues with anything yet but I think the shoulderstraps of the backback have wore they shoulders a little thin and the pants are showing their age on the outside, thigh down, from the branch whippin, they have received. No leaks I can feel yet and I don't care if they fix worn out stuff too because they have served their purpose longer than anything else I've owned.

My questions are, is Motorfist really as good. First is it Gortex or a knock off? Second do they have all the sealing cuffs (wrist, waist, boot, neck) you need for powder or rain and can you use them with gloves on? Third, are they cut and sewn together in the attack position for stand up comfort and flexibility? Forth, do they have adjustable vents in the correct locations to truely make them all season, all day?

I would love to leave my money in Canada (is that where they are made or just designed?) but I have a 1/2 a closet full of 1/2 season old gear that just didn't cut it until I got the Klim stuff.
I don't care about style, color, or embroidered designs. All grey is okay for me as long as I am comfortable all day from Oct. to July and I don't have to start carrying duct tape again.

Anybody have the Motorfist hanging in the closet and gone back to Klim?

They seem to fit small don't they. I freaked when I fit into a Medium. I'm usually a fat head large LOL.

Ya what the hell that means everyone who fits another brands medium cant get a motorfist helmet or atleast i was told they dont make them in a small

Pretty sure they make them in small sizes. Wife tried one on at the show and it fit well she usually wears a small or medium

I took a pair of my motorfist gloves which the palm had torn, to the snowmobile show here in saskatoon and the fellas from camrose arctic cat said here we'll take care of that for you, and gave me a new pair. I went to three other areas that sold klim gear to see what they could do about my gloves that the stitching was coming apart at the fingers and they all told me I have to send them to klim themselves. As my gear needs to be replaced it will be by motorfist.

Man A lot in here...

The outerwear has a LIFETIME warranty with a LOANER program is anything should go wrong. Like tantrum said. We USED to have a 5 year warranty. We are the only company offering a loaner program for problems that happen. If you blow a zipper and you ride to morrow you can have a loaner to ride in while yours gets fixed! if it can't be fixed you KEEP it.

eVent Fabrics are used in MF vs. Gore in Klim. Google eVent vs. Gore or just a general search on EVent fabrics. I could write a bible on it here but I won't. eVent breathes better than ANY other membrane out there. eVent is patented and MF owns the rights to it for the snowmobile market.

....i am out of time now. I will get back on later and answer more questions that were asked here in a minute.

After a 2.342 year market research study on what to name the company we came up with MotorFist. We Felt bad for powerfist and wanted to make those guys feel better about themselves.

Of course that wasn't the case....

But the MotorFist name is one that isn't forgotten.

I think of klim...what does that mean and how do you say it?!?! You have just heard it for 10 years and it now is okay. What about Arctic Cat? IS there such a thing as a arctic cat???

And of course the Muff pot. Really! Wow. The Muff pot.....

Wore my new Stompers around the yard today to kinda break them in, or limber them up or whatever. They feel pretty good. I have had Klim boots for the last 4 years and I think that they were pretty damn good, but I have been coming home with one wet foot for the last 2 so, I am giving MF a try. I do like my MF gloves, those little suckers get wet, and before you know it, with the grip heaters on and with them breathing as well as they do, within a few hours, its like they are dry again.

I freakin love my gear as every day stuff too... My stompers... awesome chopping wood boots... Those are my Rekon pants I got married in them 2 years ago, the kids wear them.. I literally have to wrestle my youngest son and oldest daughter for my boots in the morning lol.

I bought a pair of boots at the show and was gunna by gear too but All their gear looks the same. They are not alone in this Klim's gear all looks the same too. Maybe get a little variety with some cool designs? I dunno Its just when someone wears either klim or motofist, you know its one or the other. Wheres the cool designs and color schemes that has people asking, "whoa cool jacket, who makes it?" After all those cabins up top are small and that's pretty big advertising. Yes their stuff looks ok, but i dunno i guess i just want something different. I dont want to look like a bunch of soldiers with my buddies wearing all the same thing either. Like look at ski-doo they have had some pretty cool designs come out in the past couple years, but i wont buy them because i always seem to get when in OEM gear by the end of the day. I'm calling on you Motofist! :)

I am fuction over form minded, but that being said i've spend enough money on sledding to look cool while doing it too haha (or at least attempt to)

Oh and by the way, I was hunting all weekend in my stompers (the trial run haha) and it was -25 and my feet were covered in snow all day and my feet were always warm and dry. Thank you for that! It's a nice light boot that performs perfectly! Hopefully you come out with a boot soon that doesnt look like my work boots and i will buy it :)
