Drunk n stupid happens all the time. Uploading it on the net was real dumb. I chased a coyote once with a sled when I was young. I didn't even tell dad.

If you are going to kill it for food have at er'. If not leave it alone, this got pounded into my head pretty early in life.
Rodeo stock is kept alive for the rodeo, its like a job. No rodeo and there would be a few less animals alive.
If you're gonna be an azzhat keep it to yourself.

The comment about hunting doesn't hurt moose that's comparing apple to oranges. I bet there hasn't been one hunter ride his moose before he shot it. I am a hunter not a very good one but I do hunt. I have no issues with hunting for meat to feed my family. I don't like trophy hunters but that's a hole different post.

I do how ever have an issue with this guy riding this moose. It's cruelty no matter how you look at it. The moose did nothing to deserve this. We are putting in laws against bullying, and this is just some bully doing it to an innocent animal. And should pay for what he has done. On a side note they did find the guy that did it and charges are pending.

Bull riding is legal, harassing wildlife is illegal.

The difference between this a riding a bull? What makes one better than the other? My kids rodeo by the way and I still found the video a little offensive.

I am also not saying bull riding is my favorite thing either but its a reality.

It is an offence which is stated clearly in the hunting synopsis in most jurisdiction that it is an offence to hunt or harass wildlife while in the act of swimming. These pecker heads are opportunistic morons.

Don't think the lads where hunting so why would they need to read hunting regs? The moose was lost and going the wrong way. Just getting her back on track.

I can foresee designated moose areas now in the lakes. Only canoes allowed. Will be off limits to boats between the months of June to sept. Just takes a one dick head to ruin it for everyone.

Probably can't read either. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Like to see how that works on a Judges.

Problem is, the dickhead population is growing at an exponential rate.

Also, it seems this is not the first time people have harassed a swimming moose with a boat and jumped on its back:

Two boaters fined after harassing swimming moose in Northern Ontario - The Globe and Mail

This story is from 2013, and happened in Ontario. Boat impounded till the fines were paid.
