I just picked up a Milwaukee string trimmer, and its pretty sweet. Got it from one of my tool reps,on a special so it came with a free Second 8AH battery for $479. So far its nice, just pull trigger and off ya go. No gas no oil, no mixing no trying to start it, no gummed up carbs, no noise. ( ok some noise ). Can tip it and flip it any which way and not leak anything. Will it replace my big husky brush cutter no. Is it great for normal trimmer activity yes. It also helps that I already have lots of Milwaukee batteries too for my tools otherwise it might not be as convenient for me. Next on my list is this new Chainsaw they just released!

1500$ for a lawn mower that barely competes with a 200$ gas job until it needs a charge.

The greenworks mower was $599 out of costco, i sold my $1200 dollar honda 200 but still have a honda 160. The 80v greenworks works pretty good, the hondas are the best gas lawn mower if you ask, i have a few 80v batteries for it though.

I bought a fancy milwakee light and expensive battery(so i could get a full day out of the battery on 1 charge) for a low rise job Where i would have had to run 500 feet of cord.

I get it they do have thier place.


But yep a miter saw, especially when im only using it at home is going to have a cord 100%

I bought the miter saw and it works awesome. Especially in Seymour at my cabin where I would be running a generator all day just to make cuts. I have a 12ah battery and can cut 2x6 and 2x4 all day

I have one i plug into the wall at home and it never lets me down lol

Ya I don’t like to load my inverter and batteries up like that when building but charging tool batteries puts no load on my system.

I have a 170cc 200$ dollar power smart going on. Season 5 in the city. Have a gas honda that needs a carb. So it sits.


Have a kabota deisel riding lawn mower and john deere one too. On the farm. Plus one that is pto for the tractor. So all kinds of grass cutting equiptment at my disposal


so no need for a battery powered unit at this time.

I as well invested awhile back in the 80v 21 inch self prop pro model for convenience and quietness only. I have quite a bit to cut and can do it all with 1 batt with 1 on res just in case, also fits my trimmer that is attach capable and will knock down a forest pretty quick with double string. Put that trimmer to test yesterday at Dads as the weeds were running 16-24 high with all the rain we had, went 3hrs solid and still had 1.5 bars but gotter all knocked down it was like using an old "sickle" only with power lol.

Well they released a buncha cool chit today.... Forge 8.0 and 12.0 batteries, double battery 20" chainsaw with 70cc equivalent power. Som other double battery gadgets. Lots more packout add-ons. Jesus, for that price you could a Stihl pro saw that will run for 40 years. That battery system will be obsolete inside a decade.

Im Getting quoted $1050 for that chainsaw kit. The new 8.0 batteries are $259 and the 12.0 batteries are $335. I definitely thought they would be higher.

Wow, if your getting the 8.0 for 259$ thats not bad as they are listing for 298$ and the 6.0 are 279$ now. That kit comes with 2 batts, that's all you will ever need for HDD tool. 12.0 forge would be overkill imo and i would simply bring out the gas Stihl if i was cutting a block down of Redwoods lol!

Well ch!t I hate to admit it but i'm a big fan of the battery saws for the ease of jumping out of the truck or sxs and cutting the junk out of the way before my gas one would even be started.
I think i'll need one of these in the future! The little Makita works ok but this things looks like the ticket.

Used my rocket light last night. Was clay barring the wife's suv and it got dark. I only use it about every 2 months but man I love having it when I need it!

Anyone else use milwaukee headlamp? Bought one for seeding time and loved it. I like to work lots at night and makes everything easier. Bright enough I could service equipment at night before I go home then just hop in and go in the morning.

I’ve had a few battery powered and one rechargeable one. They are just alright, Milwaukee’s definitely not a leader in lighting tools.

Well ch!t I hate to admit it but i'm a big fan of the battery saws for the ease of jumping out of the truck or sxs and cutting the junk out of the way before my gas one would even be started.
I think i'll need one of these in the future! The little Makita works ok but this things looks like the ticket.

I have both a 18 inch gas saw for the big chit and not touring lol! Bought a Stihl 12inch batt saw and that thing goes with me on the toy's. Will cut a 20 inch tree fallen over trail np and requires min oil and i use honey oil as it seems to be the best there is but very min required in resovoir. Like the batt saw for trail riding and lightness with no required liquids or big case, like my big saw, easy to strap and no leakage.
