I get the joke, Im not offended. I was just saying, nope it is actually an important tool. Because guys on here might not know better if they never weld.

I was just waiting for some one to chime in with how great cordless is. I maybe get 3-5 mins out of that dewalt with a 5amp battery before its toast.

Have lots of batteries, but the plug in ones are hard to beat. I probably have 10 grinders

I was fixing the ole skidoo trailer, not that anyone on here would be interested in that kinda thing.

If i financed a brand new one, maybe could get some interest, but then i would have to hear how it was built like chit and over priced. so i just dont know any more....

Very true! Completely different worlds but there are super talented hands that can do both! Those guys are a fitters dream!... Fug I hated deal with ABSA, arrogant pricks.... instantly remember why I went back to the farm.. in that light and back on topic! What do guys recommend for chain saws, would like to have one that a guy carries on the sprayer to cut trees while desicating so that the combines aren't dodging headland windfalls ??
How big of trees? How often

I would pack a cordless saw for circumstances like that, kinda of the same idea i pack 1 on the quad as well for downed trees covering my way of travel. I like the 12inch 40v Stihl i bought no leakage minimal oil needed and overall is small and very versatile, will cut up to a 20 inch tree in mins, better than packing my husky or a large Milwaukee saw.

I was thinking along the lines of a silky saw if its an infrequent thing and smaller trees or a good fiskars saw they get a lot of work done fast and don't take up any space

Do any members on here have the rocket M12 tower light? Looking at getting 1 or should i go for the M18 tower light with no charger instead. Would like a versatile light to work on Trucks (not under the hood either) along with around the house use. Let me know your thoughts TIA:)

They say the M12 batt is a bit of a pain to remove, but i am thinking dry lube will work for that? What do you use it for? 1400 lumens as opposed to 2500 lumens hmnn.

I think Ron has both, I know he's super busy and not on much but I know he raves about his work lights when I've chatted with him

I have the m18 rocket light. It is a light. It was kinda expensive. Bigger the battery the longer it goes...
Its great if ur working some where dark with no power. If I was just working in the garage id get one that plugs in for 20$ though (the rocket light does plug in too)

Had it 5 years and on lots of jobs. Its built pretty good.

The milwaukee M12's go in and out fine. I had some ching chong meow 6 AH M12's that didn't fit as well but they have crapped out now. I definitely recommend bigger batteries in it as it's a bit thirsty. Mine has mostly been used outside for doing work on one of my trucks when the garage is full. Sometimes I'll set it up in the winter so the kids have some more light to play in in the yard when it gets dark early.

I have the regular tower light and its great and lasts a long time even out in the cold winter days.
