Is the stock air box plastic ? If so how much boost can it hold ? I didn’t see a airbox in that pic of the kit.

Had her on the snow. Working on clutching at the moment. The hood scoop is useless and I have told Erik that. It puts too much snow in the engine bay and on the clutch guard. No need to even modify the stock hood. That intercooler runs very very cold even with the hood fully closed in. I have a new CR hood going on today. I'll post some pics up a tad later on.
Cheers

what hood scoop Randy? Just wondering cause I get virtually zero snow under the hood or in engine compartment.
Duh, I get it, your talking about the modified hood for the larger inner cooler. Lol

That hood scoop looks mean though, like something in a Mad Max movie, but it did look like it was not the answer for the deep powder, can't wait to see your new hood!

Are you running pump gas at elevation Randy? How much boost on that 19t to keep that 270 at elevation 15-17? Mcxpress stuff has always worked awesome little tuffer sell I imagine on a sled that already has a turbo but still sweet.

I'd really like to see some videos of the Stage 3 in action. I noticed mc xpress had posted one video on one of their social media sites but nothing special. Real rider reviews will be great to hear.

Ok had her out again for a small test today. We removed the Baro Fuel Adjustment as it was running rich once we went past 1000 meters. Ran crisp and clean as it should. Pulled very hard and in fact was too fast for me to get a good read on much instrumentation. RPMs were in the 8800 range and boost was 14/15 on a larger 19T turbo. Will increase to 17-18 and add some upshift for the next test. Im sure it will be as powerful as I ever need. You can see the new CR Hood which is about 10lbs lighter than stock, new Seat hopefully coming from Yamaha next year. 1.5"lower and has some storage. About 5lbs lighter. Going to add some graphics cause I think its a bit plain. Overall very happy and getting it developed for some chute climbing.

What's involved in bypassing the barometric adjustment?

Just a laptop. We turn off the functionality.
It's interesting you say that we have a flashed Evo one in the group.

And at elevation it puts out 16lbs on the analog guage. Their literature claims that they only put out 14.8psi.

They don't really clarify if it is psi guage or corrected pressure.

My MCX stage2 put out 15 at altitude.......but the OEM turbo is smaller than the one I just installed on this stage3. Its rank compared to my stage2 at same boost levels. And intake air temps were 7-11 degrees. Another benefit of the bigger turbo. Likely not for everyone as it has gone from a play sled to a climber now.
Safe sledding.

With the extra boost are they going to have a slightly higher RPM target range? Say 9200?

Doubt it. No need as the motor is 100% stock with all the forged parts required. So the RPM will stay at the OEM levels.
Interesting, would like to see this sled in action. When is yamafest again? Will be out this weekend that not really sure for the following weeks.
