Who has one and what is their reports? Clutching adjustments, performance, lag, etc.

Must be a few that have pulled the trigger. 180-200hp is great but most yami guys will be wanting a bit more I am sure. After selling my ntyro this new sidewinder has me intrigued.

I don't believe anyone has one yet in North America... Erik @ Vernon is the NEW MCX Distributer for Canada. I will say for MCX I hope with the plug & play they run with good AFR as history on MCX they are programmed too conservative on the Extra Injector System. Not to steal from your post but I think many will go with an EVP Program and MaptunerX... Very slick system.

Time will tell. I will be honest I have typically held MCX in high regards when it comes to fuel mapping and overall turbo design. It has been copied by many. Not that others dont work, I have just found MCX is usually dialed in.

Any one with the EVP program up and running? I am curious to here all or any reports of the power up kits on the sidewider.

I remember bigger injectors were a flop in the powder lites set up. Made decent power at wot but low and mid were not the best.

I have a CR straight pipe on mine it runs well I'm sure it's making more hp than stock but I've read a lot of dyno numbers 230 is defiantly on high side. I haven't touched my clutching either and have yet to bounce off rev limiter with stock clutching. I have a MCXpress 250 kit on the way but am also curious about clutching as they don't have it figured out yet as it's so early.

Guys, this is a great site but you really need to check out another site, Totallyamaha, they are up to 280 hp. Lots of mid 250 hp sleds out there with several thousand Km's on them. Distance isn't what S&M is about but a lot of work has been done on this motor with reliable hp.

I saw the number's in person, i think if you put a stock SW and your's you would see the difference. Plus you need to put a load on the motor to bring the HP out, a rip across a lake wont tell much but put it on a good deep powder climb to make it work and that's where the extra hp will start to show.

You might be right I haven't rode with any stockers but 600km in some really deep snow. My opinion is also a little skewed as I spent so much time at 270+

Exactly, my wife said the same thing actually today. Basically said "are you sure your going to like this sled, it isn't going to be as powerful"
I told her that in reality i seldom used the full power potential of the Nytro and was dialed down most of the time, with the SW the power will be more in the area i generally use and the sled will be all around easier to ride. Plus the only time that big power would come into play is on those big chute climbs, in all other situations the SW turbo setup should perform and feel superior to the aftermarket turbo setup used on the Nytro's and Vipers. I just need to remember not to try to beat one on a big chute climb on the SW. LOL
I will see how it goes, i might power it up in the future but no plans to do so right now. Like i said, i have seen the number's and was blown away, couldn't believe it, though not rode one yet. I'm pretty confident it will run pretty close to my Nytro but not beat it on a big climb.

Yes... Been on TY for I'm gonna say for 14 years..also some good forum on FB

So I'm certain many will go with EVP as I like the fact you can get the MaptunerX....However don't discount out TDI Canadian Company have also done a incredible job on ECU Maps, HP etc..

MCX, EVP & TDI all recommend or suggest not to run straight pipe or highflow without a tune... Which I believe.

I I know Mr Swenson has a mcx kit,said he is enjoying the sw to much at stock power to put it in.

My Nytro is got a full lakeside motor job with porting new cams,rods,piston & more.
At 20lbs it's retarded to ride:cool:
I have my viper at 8-10lbs now & super happy with the power it makes:beer:

EVo and Td have some pretty cool things in the works. Flash your own power levels and bluetooth data logging and gauges. Any mountain riders tested this yet? Flatlanders are getting up to 270hp. Wonder how the SW is handling all that heat? 1000$ with some clutching?

MCX seems to be hush hush anyone with a mountain tested unit? Their NA pricing seems high and no clutching?

The more I read the more I like EVO and the Maptuner,(this is them talking about the exhaust) Without additional boost/fuel, it is impossible to make 30 more horsepower by just changing an exhaust. So why does the mixture lean out and where does the extra horsepower come from? The stock exhaust has a lot of back pressure. This resistance to flow contaminates the cylinders with gases from the previous combustion event which RICHENS the air fuel mixture because there is less available fresh air to burn. When you replace the factory exhaust with a free flowing one, now there is more fresh air to burn and the mixture LEANS out. The ECU does not run closed loop fueling, so it cannot compensate for this.

I put a couple hundred deep mountain km on my winder this weekend flashed my sled to Evo stage 4 the second day it ran well very happy.
