McCann Search

The McCann family is now being allowed to do searches for their missing family. They apparently will be looking at getting volunteers with quads and whatever to help. Is anyone else in here interested? The ATV community could be so important in the search at this point.

just a question here, why would they not call out search and rescue, we do this all the time. was out with our group covering off an area that had not been covered by RCMP looking for a person that has been missing for 2 weeks.
if it works out I would come and help for sure if the timing is right.

Search and Rescue was involved very early on.

Thanks all. Yes Search and Rescue and the RCMP have already been out since the couple had gone missing. Just Friday the family was given the go ahead to do more searches on their own. They have some family and friends helping but winter is coming and there is so much ground to cover. I will post on here as soon as I get any info from the family.

Here is the latest info from the family posted on Facebook. Thanks for all of your input and offers and we'll wait till the family can use us. They have given an email to send to in the message. Thanks again.

The Family has not announced that they would be doing a search
that required volunteers . A news account mentioned only that they
may ( look ) at doing so . Today I have received about 25 private
...messages and as you see several posts have been done on the page.
To organize what may happen and to minimize the messaging that
asks for more details that we cannot provide ,an email address has been
established in case they do announce that they wish volunteers.
Again this is only in case they ask for volunteers.
