Kinda fun coming across this stuff since it takes up part of the day

Now that's one big Honda power plant, Ha.

I bet the living quarters was top notch back in the day on this old unit.

I hope all of our OHV's don't look like this in 40 years.

This is Looking Easterly, and its 56 kms to Park-way hwy 93 that is between Banff & Jasper,,, Would be nice to have the Howes Pass road, but after the feds have talked about it for almost 40 ish years it will most likely never happen. Still nice too dream about it. David Thompson thought it was a good idea back then.

Looking Westerly down the Arm too big lake. Might need a small motor skiffer boat for my next outing.

Mother Nature/ or Papa Earth really put on a good showing out here,,, Verity is gooder.

One just can't get enough of this area.

South looking.

Clouds dwarf any of these mountains

I wish I could hang out here for many months, but the wheels need to roll since there is much too see in many places we choose.
More too follow in days ahead.

I had my own gas going threw there since its pricey at $1.29 per liter on that long weekend as I filled up my truck and gas cans too by-pass having too stop there.

The new too me truck with 4 gas cans gets me 1440 kms at a good speed.

I fueled up at home and topped off South of Revy to pull off the run,,, $1.16 on that side. I see the Avola truck stop gas station by the bridge burned down. It was always my fav for gas and a home cooked meal.

I've been lucky too spend time sledding and quading in this area, and its been some ride over the years.

Both units allowed me a chance too see the area in its best.

The clouds would be classed as rain makers, or snow builders if up top. If its chilly in the lower valley then one would guess it's a lot colder up top.

Been back here on quad in August to see 2 too 3 feet of fresh snow . This is why I always pack my Baffin Island suit for the just in-case. Thick snow mitts too.

Looks like a big white-out up top. It will all melt off by days end if the warm temps get at it.

I used too know the owners name at one time, but long forgot it in my travels.

I never stayed at the lodge since I had a nook in the wall to stay in at the other sled area, either slept in my truck, or on top of my sled under a tarp, Ha.
All I need is gas, shelter and food since life is simple.

This would be 1 of my top 10 rides for BC, and 200 or 300 out of the America travels. Canada/ USA.

Living the dream.

She some cold water, burrrrrr !

Awesome area when it opens for snowmobiles, now all quading for me now days since I like warm temps in the South in winter time.

Lots of human made bridges still, the 2012 floods changed things back here a bit.

End-less in the winter time for snowmobiles.

Got to like the clear water streams.

Good thing I pack the chain-saw, but I did not get much past this point since the big rocks and side hill is not where I want too be.

98 to 99% of these trails are good, but there are sections that need side hilling, tricky on a quad little loan in a SxS,,, not saying it can't be done.

Kow & Honkey are game too try ohv pack lunch, yum yum, Ha.

Rain coat check, warm sweeter check, tobacco check, sun glasses check, and pumpkin bucket in-case I need to find a pal too scoop water from the creeks, check.

End of day ride to relax and take in the sounds and smells of wild flowers blooming.

Looking Easterly to hwy 93/ parkway.

Old Wolf tracks.

We all took turns cleaning up from the days ride, this water is pretty cold,,, small amounts at one time works best.

Nokey & Kow are looking forward too next adventure some where no where as un-planed.

That raps up that outing as I need to load this weekends in days too follow. I could spend months touring BC and never see enough of it from the quad seat,,, this is good since it gives me many reasons too return.

Pal Don on the hunt for the next best out-door channel the quad can offer.

July 8th to 10th. 2016 Ride of the Gods

Just pulling out of the work yard when pal rolls in with a shinny used SxS, Ha. Ok, a dual sport motorcycle once he gets a knobby tire on it.
The forecast was for rain, so hard shell will work just fine, generator to power up the tunes, lap top to browses the world wide web, and a hot cup of coffee to wait for the nights rains,,, now this is camping at its best knowing it will be a nice day no matter what.
And starting off the day from the top of a mountain makes it all worth the while.

Honkey and Kow think its a gooder idea.

Oh my oh my,,, the valley of the gods has come forth. Looks much like the Blue Ridge Mt's of Virginia or Steven's Vill on West Coast Newfoundland along the Ocean.

I find it kool when the clouds roll in. The sporadic breaks help since it gives me a chance to see where I'm going.

Clouds heading West as the mist rolls in form the East.

I didn't know this at the time, but later this weekend I found out it was Snowing North of my camp spot.

Gods of the valley. Rolling fog is the best in the early fall, but I'll take it at any time of year.
More too do with the big game hunting thing I guess.

Glad I got 2 days of this.

I been by here 100's of times, then found an abandon oil line leading too the far West. The wells back here have been removed.

Other wells still remain.

Pretty simple ride scooting for furry critters along the way, nill for mud, nothing challenging, and relax mod 2.2 all day long.

Some times less is more.

Rainy day weekends are the best since it leaves all trails wide open. Glad I packed the warm space suit since it was snowing pretty good too the North of me.

Pal Don looking for the lost.
