I am leaning towards the X deck. Anyone have any thoughts on this brand. I am a little hesitant with the denali decks. I believe that if something is too cheap there usually is a reason for it. My budget is around $2500 for a black aluminum deck, any other ideas would be appreciated.

Got a couple marlons in the fleet now and no major complaints so far. I believe you can also get a black one for less than 2500

I've posted a few times about the X Deck. The build quality is excellent. They look great and the extension is a nice feature. I love having the hinged extension. I run the deck all year long and use it for my dirt bike too. I would definitely buy it again.

My only gripes are the ramp is heavy and awkward for one guy, but it is beefy and rated for 1650lbs. The wiring isn't the most weather proof. I've had to do a few repairs on the wiring. But it's minor.

Can you side load on the x deck. I am planning on loading my 2013 brute force and my sons kawasaki 90 which is way lighter so i figured it would be better to side load them to even out the weight better. Do i need a special ramp or atachment bars?

Nope. Deck will come with rail adapters to side load.

Looks good similar to the Marathon Classic. That's what used to have, for the new truck I'm going with the Marathon Truck Boss 8'. I'm going to get it loaded up, expensive but I think it's worth it. All extruded aluminum no welding, top notch ramps and easy install.

Bolted it to box. Sold the extension first as I didn't care for it that much. Sold the deck as I picked up a long box instead. No complaints on the deck at all. Ramp is awkward for one person but not to bad. Ramp very strong tho and worked well for quads as well. My deck for this season will be another xdeck black to match truck.

What didn't you like about the extension? I thought it was one of the best features of this deck. So handy, and just flip it up when not in use.

Isn't the Marlin made in China and the X made in Canada? Could be wrong, but that's the impression I have.

I belive they are both made in China. Marlon is $150 more but comes with Powder coated aluminum deck, 12' ramp for my long box truck and uhmw slides and larger platform feet. I am leaning towards the marlon.

I have an X deck and I love it. I wouldn't get another deck that is powder coated though. If you have a company that properly powder coats then it's good. But these companies that dip the Al doesn't get a good bond with the powder coat and the powder coat chips.

Loaded the quad on my new deck for the first time today after securing the deck with turnbuckles. IMG_3358_3.jpg IMG_3356_3.jpg IMG_3357_3.jpg
