After my near hit of a moose I'm in the market for the best headlights or bulbs available and/or where to go to find such information. Many sites but what is true and what is sales jargon? Suggestions????

2007 GMC 2500HD and a 2007 Toyota Avalon and 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have a 2007 dodge , high beams were usless. So i went with PIAA. I now have high beams i dont have to run my fog lights with low beams. For the 100 $ i spent i have zero complaints. Except for getting high beamed when im on low. They are a white light

don't be persuaded to go with a HID lighting kit for your vehicle........I did and was sorry for doing it, not only will it give you grief and problems it will leave you stranded with no lights on occasion where you need some sort of light just to operate your vehicle.I had allot of trouble with the one's I had installed......and reinstalled* at my cost again and again.....to the point that in a year's total reciepts it had cost me just under 2 grand just to keep the light kit working. I eventually scrapped the idea of the HID lighting and went to a white light bulb (Piaa bulb actually) they worked great, but went through a pigtail connector or three in a year, thought it was from the after effects of the HID kit and all the troubles. Turns out it was the bulbs, they run a little hotter than stock bulbs do, not sure of the exact amperage but hotter and there fore the burned out pigtails.Well after a ticket for a burned out lamp defective equipment from the RCMP, I stopped by the local canadian tire and purchased the new then Nighthawk headlights, noticed a slight difference in amperage to run em and threw a set in, well 3 years later no problems and no difference form the PIAAs what so ever.Just my experience, but purchase what ever fits your needs........you'll get* good responses form this site and allot of people will tell you there experience as I have.happy shopping.

Thanks for the info. When you say aftermarket drivinglights were they in place of your Hi beams? It sounds interesting. What style, type??

I installed a couple of diodes, and a switch. Now I can have my high, low and fog lights on all at once...do not need fancy new burnout in 8 month $$$ bulbs to get unreal light!!! Like day with two sets of Sylvania Silverstars plus your fog lights on.

Found the cct. diagram on The Diesel Place $4 worth of parts at The Source.

Diesel Place - Duramax Diesel Discussion Forums

Installed for 3 years not NO issues...just big light!!!

piaa is real nice I don't know why people are not having luck with the HID kit I ordered mine and installed them on a previous truck of mine for well over 2 years never had a single problem way brighter over all not very costly my vote is for the BEAMER HID kit works awesome

gotta add on mine as well I am waiting for my hid kit on my new dmax but just put the lightforce 170 striker driving lights on and hooked them up to high beam all i gotta say is WOW you will never ever have to worry about seeing animals with these bad boys on so i gotta say either piaa bulbs and driving lights or HID kit and driving lights definately worth the money spent

I have been running HID in my truck for about 18 months now, not a problem, best light I have ever had, bar none! I do much nighttime running and have tried everything and I can say for a fact the HID is the way to go.

My low beam on HID puts out more light than most high beams I have had in the past. Nothing compares. If you really want light you can install a set of driving lights off a solenoid that run with your high beams, I run illegal light force, but hey, they work, hit the swith and its daylight.

I run retro-solutions HID's on my 2000 GMC 2500 and my 06 Mustang and would not trade them for anything. Have had them in the car for 4 years now and just got my foglight bulbs replaced for free on warranty. I have the 5000K so they appear very white, it is like having daylight in front of you.
My truck I have had them for a year now and replaced a set of PIAA's with the HID's. Way less power draw and they run cooler as well but they put out WAAAAAAAAAAAY more light than the Piaa's. It cost me under $200 shipped to my door for each set of lights.
