Looking for better Headlights!

I run retro-solutions HID's on my 2000 GMC 2500 and my 06 Mustang and would not trade them for anything. Have had them in the car for 4 years now and just got my foglight bulbs replaced for free on warranty. I have the 5000K so they appear very white, it is like having daylight in front of you.
My truck I have had them for a year now and replaced a set of PIAA's with the HID's. Way less power draw and they run cooler as well but they put out WAAAAAAAAAAAY more light than the Piaa's. It cost me under $200 shipped to my door for each set of lights.

I installed a couple of diodes, and a switch. Now I can have my high, low and fog lights on all at once...do not need fancy new burnout in 8 month $$$ bulbs to get unreal light!!! Like day with two sets of Sylvania Silverstars plus your fog lights on.

Thanks for the info. When you say aftermarket drivinglights were they in place of your Hi beams? It sounds interesting. What style, type??

Just a set of 8" Lightforce lights on the bullbar wired in to go on with the high beams....

I run Golden eye HID lights, (retro fitted) work pretty damn well. Ballasts have held up well also.

hid's are the way to go lighting and vision is nothing to cheap out on go hid an you wont be dissappointed to add even more thrills throw on driving lights

Say I have been following this thread and I realize the HID would perform well on high beams but is there any advantage with HID light system for low beams that are legal ? Will you get flashed by on coming vehicles or worse ( pulled over by the cops) for a HID low beam ? I have seen some vehicles that have headlights way too bright (almost blinding) for on coming traffic and I wonder if this is someone that left there hi beams on or is this HID low beam.
