Looking for advice on SxS

Hey guys I'm new to the site. Just sold my 700 Grizz and wondering what SxS to get. Polaris, Arctic cat, or Can Am? Any help would be great.

I have a 12 rzr 800s and love it. That said they're all good machines and all have their weak points. Depends what kinda coin you wanna spend really !

We have had a 800 rzr and now a 900 xp rzr. Both have been good.

All the sxs are ok. Depends on your riding and what you want to do.

Race, mud ride, take family.

Whatever brand you pick enjoy your ride.

Unless I'm talked out of it before spring I plan on buying RZR 1000. I've had 2 RZR 800's with no grief. Their quads are sh!t. I've had quite a few of them also.

I have a RZR 900, great machine with plenty of power (88hp). No issues mechanically, nice ride with good clearance. Throws alot of mud.

Rzr are really great sxs they are tough, mean and great machines. They are also very easy and cheap to maintain.

Funny I have a 2011 Prowler XTZ 1000 with 1600 Kms and I have yet to have an issue. I love it and have no complaints at all. I use it in the mud, trail riding, hunting, sand dunes, and hauling wood. You must have had bad luck and got a lemon. I have other family members also with the 700 Prowlers and they have no complaints either.

Guess you have to decide how you ride and what you are going to use it for...they are slowly moving into 2 markets the sport market and the farm implement market with dump boxes and such for hauling big loads

I have a Rhino that I pretty much only use to plow my yard. I wouldn't recommend it for a fun mudding SxS. Just my opinion. It's been OK but thats about it.

Another thing to consider is how your going to transport it. Couple different lengths and heights to choose from. It's not just the machine that changes when you go from quads to sxs's. Campers, trailers, sled decks......

What are laws regarding width of machines on trails etc. I though someone had mentioned BC may be starting to impose some new regs.

Wider than 65" is considered a truck/jeep and a few areas have a 1000 lb limit during winter. The width law doesn't really affect me because a SxS won't even be close to fitting on a single track bike trail. The weight restriction is the big problem as a fully loaded SxS can be 2000 lbs.

Someone has mentioned length and your right that is a huge deal. My ranger crew is difficult to haul, width wise it will fit in a truck but the 8' box with the tail gate down is simple not long enough. Lucky for us we only cross the street to quad paradise. Just waiting until spring to see if it will fit in my toy-hauler. We went with the 800 crew because of the 4 kids and will be more used around the farm then anything else. Its versatile enough for the area's that we do ride in. Looking back though part of me wished I had gone with the 900 as it seats only seats 5 and the older kids will be on their own machines shortly. Even the ranger 500 is a excellent machine. Keep in mind they are not meant for jumping and you won't win a drag race but extremely reliable and excellent on the trails and mud.
