I am currently looking at buying a new tow rig/personal truck. I am by no means brand loyal, and my trailer need max out at 8000lbs. I can get away with a 1/2ton, and really liking the gmc at4 with diesel. But I also like the stability of a heavy 3/4 or 1 ton truck on marginal road conditions.
Any of you guys work at dealerships? Appears Ram is only place that has any kind of deal. I used to get preferred pricing through work, but we got bought out and it’s no longer available.

I used to pull a 5th wheel (dry 7000lbs) with a 2011 1 ton duramax. We were using the 5th wheel less and less, so in 2020 I went to a 6.2 1/2 ton and put a 5th wheel hitch in that. It did fine, but if price is not a concern, I would go with a 3/4 or 1 ton.

Was down to Beasejour Manitoba in early March for the snowmobile oval races. Walked through the pits looking at sleds and trailers. Saw mostly F350’s in the pits. These guys have big heated sled trailers with lifts, tools, extra parts and 2-3 sleds they race. I said to my buddies that I guess that’s where all the Super Duty’s went because they are hard to find in Alberta. These racers would be western and eastern riders and riders from the US.big trailers as you can see! IMG_6020.jpeg

Nice interested to hear how the HO works out with the water cooled turbo. My 22 6.7 pulls like a bear yours should be even better with an extra 200 ft lbs.

Was cruising through town on test drive and at 50kmh it smokes tires. Feel like my 2015 deleted with 75hp tune in it was.
