I need to do more training with my dog "chit head" as he likes to sleep alot, Ha.

Heads up in Edmonton area guys as the clowns are up to no good.

They just claimed a good friend of mines Suzuki dual sport motorcycle DS 650 that is Gray in colour from N/E side of city.

At lease it's insured thank the bean.

Don't under estimate what these clowns will do too get a fix as its up to us too make it challenging for them,,, punishment is getting ones fingers pinched in a beaver trap.

On guard we stand brothers and sisters.

So the Alberta average auto thefts in 2007 worked out too "ruffly" 400 units per-day,,, those stats are a low number for the 2016/17 year.

These stats do not include power-sport toys either.

Pull the keys and don't leave second set handy for the clowns either.

Real or fake security cameras help and keeping an eye on vehicles that we don't normally see.

Make it possible that they see you as you see them, nothing wrong with using our phones too snap a photo of vehicle & plate number as we pretend to be on the phone,,, Ha.

Sister in-law just put the run on a "supposedly" scout that claimed they we're lost in the country,,, this could be the case, but why get lost in front of each farm along the road for 10 too 15 minutes at a time.

It's no wonder that folks get suspicious when others give us reasons too be.

Nabour hood watch is now under-way, if the vehicle does not look common, don't be surprised if the folks that live up and down the roads don't stop too chat with them.

Just being nabourly is all, Ha.

Nabours helping nabours is what its all about, in towns and cities as well as acrages and farms.

Guess our smartphones will be getting used more than we thought now days.

Remember, if it don't look right, take some covert operation pictures or video, Ha, nothing wrong with thinking out side the box.

Stats on theft and break inns just came out in our area.

More than tripled and the small town South of us seen about the same.

RCMP reported that in most cases that thieves pick the easy targets of folks that don't lock-up, no gates and fences, no security systems or cameras, and they scope places out in some cases.

Just a heads up as they are crafty at this stuff, so stay the course of doing our part at locking stuff up brothers and sisters.

We are looking at putting a live link system at our farm - will take about 5 cameras to cross cover adequately.

After the trespasser I confronted last week I want to make sure I put my supplementary tag on the correct hock before I call the RCMP.....as he got told if comes back.
Local Azzhat that didn't know crazy me yet.........does now.

I hear yha all, last week in our area someone stold a tractor from dealer ship too crash into hotel too steal bank machine,,, crazy stuff for sure.

Last Week Calgary had a officer pull over stolen vehicle and another one of them got clipped by the stolen vehicle as it sped away injuring the officer,,, crappy deal for our brothers and sisters who protect us the best they can.

Later that week they spot another stolen truck with broken back window driving "eradicate" if that's the word...

Sounds like the thief took a chunk of lead,,, sad for both officer(s), crook, and all of us as this was not part of the plan in most cases where force is needed.

I'm not sure about all the details on the above, but our law folks in all of Western Canada and East have their hands full to.

These crooks need to realize that things can go south fast in the event of law sooner or later catches up, and a encounter might not turn out very good.

If only these actions would not take place would help all of us relax and feel secure at all levels in human life here in our areas wide.

These actions of grab and take are going to have things not work out for all involved one way or the other.
Sad but true as we try to keep our stuff locked up on a changing planet of who knows what.

A month ago I had just opened up my shop
In the morning and my dog outside was losing her mind . I went outside to give her **** and some asswipe was in my fenced yard with a small enclosed trailer parked next to some customer ATV's waiting to be worked on . As soon as he spotted me he took off at Mach-1 with gravel flying . He was after a ATV or my woodsplitter . I had only opened the gate 20 minutes earlier . These crooks have very big ball's . A high quality camera system is going in .

well i seen the light this morning!

son locked keys in his VW. after a dozen frantic phone calls, ama is on the way.
well i decided to test the theory of locked doors keeps the thieves out! didn't take this old guy more than 20 seconds and door was open. no broken windows, no paint to repair, no wedges, no punched locks. FYI no vehicle is safe from theft.

The cold snap allowed 15 units too drive off with out owners behind the wheel.

These folks started their units too warm them up, of course they got warmed up fast as clowns took full advantage of the free opertunity.

Looks like Ford F-350's topped the list of easiest to get underway. 2007 was on the list as well as 2 other years of Ford F-350's.

All 3 are easy too get fired up, lots of them gone missing in Eastern Canada.

A fellow East of us followed a few trucks in a rural area, 1 had a stock trailer as they we're zig zagging across the road. The dudes spotted him following, so they jumped out too confront him and his 10 year old boy,,, one took up a scary chat as the other poked his knife into a few of the tire on his truck.

Poor farmer was very scared over the confrontation with his son so no out side chat took place.

The clowns bolted away with the truck and stock trailer they we're in... RCMP found the stock trailer latter that was full of stolen property... It was abandoned on a rural road east of us.

Head up all as these dudes can change things up in seconds. Plan what actions are open if confronted.

Doesn't look good as there is something wrong with a few dudes out there.

It won't be long now that sled season is under way before someone chimes in that truck, trailer and all the sleds are missing. It boils down to us the owners too put a kink in the issue as we make it much harder for the clowns then its worth.
It boggles my mind that a guy would spend 75K on a rig, 20K on a trailer and another 15-20 on a sled and do NOTHING to protect it except hope for the best, that boarders on insanity. A good alarm system with motion sensor and starter kill is around $500, your rig won't be going anywhere with that. Maybe some GPS tracking to boot? A wheel boot? Crazy industrial locks? It sucks getting ripped off but when you do nothing to protect your stuff I have a hard time feeling bad for them. Nobody is going to protect your stuff for you, it's up to you and only you to do it

Yes, it is crazy too think that a few folks don't do better at securing the rig and load.

I/we hear the saying many times, "if they want it, their going to take it anyways."

I can say for one thing in my case, if they want my stuff, their going to have too work at it.

Sure they most likely are going to wreck things getting at what ever, but it ain't worth their time or effort as the fellow on the other side of the road has set his unit up to go missing,,, sad but true.

It takes all of us too put a kink in the issue if we all want to limit things going side-ways.

The folks up and down our street have our bases covered, hope others took the time to do the same in their areas.

FYI for anyone who owns say a 2015 F-150 or newer or I guess any Ford product that uses a FOB. Now yes I'm probably a dumbass for this but I came home on Friday morning at 8:30 to grab something from inside with the FOB in my pocket. Wasn't inside 1min came back out and the truck was gone and still not found. I always thought the FOB was like a car KEY in the ignition but if your truck is running (not command start) anyone can hop in a drive off with your truck even if you have the FOB on you. So summer time running even locked, smash the window and hop in an go. Maybe you guys who have these trucks know that but I sure didn't.....even the dealership in Edmonton didn't know this about the truck they sold me.

My 75k truck - sled deck and wack of construction tools drove off. I didn't upgrade the $500 options for the Ford app to use my phone to start my truck that would have a GPS program to track it but I found out the FOB that transmits the signal to the truck to recognize the FOB the truck doesn't need to run once started...I still have the FOB for my truck and no truck anymore.

Wow, thanks for sharing as I would of thought the FOB thing was too prevent a unit from getting away.

Above posts I brought up about a chop shop east of our town was shut down, this allowed 2 more to open up and the 1 that was down and out is back at it once again.

Kinda like a short brake as the clowns await for court stuff in 2 years from now.

Looks like these shops are competing for business from what the locals are chatting about, no clear "facts" as the system is not sharing info with locals since its under investigation,,, strange indeed."

Funny thing is that many know the activities going on as there's nothing no one can do but lock-up.

Two fellows wanted their stuff back from one south of our area, they called the RCMP and told them they we're going in on their own too have a chat,,, RCMP told them too stay clear,,, Ha. "No can do bro." Cop cars were at location in under 15 minutes.

Pretty sad that common folks have to do the thing too get their stuff back.

Would be wize to think things threw, and take pro active steps that limit one from ending up in situation before hand.

Heads up all.

Interesting situation and I feel for your loss. Speaking of the key fobs, my wife had a Honda Accord with the FOB. I let her out for an appointment (didn't shut off the car) and I drove to another place, parked in front, and went to shut off the car when I noticed a message on the screen that said "No Key". Good thing I saw the message. Inadvertently, she had both FOB's in her purse. If I had have shut the car off, I wouldn't have been able to start it without getting her to bring/send a FOB. I drove back without incident.

So yes, once they are running they can be driven away without a FOB. They just can't be started again if they are shut off.

The system is broken, most of us know this, so do what we need to do.

Calgary news chatted about 3 car jacking of the 10 that occurred that day.
Their telling folks too lock your doors when driving now.

I'll make sure I "don't do this" since in-counters of the strang kind is one of my quest in life, Ha.

If clown wants door handle of truck, they will get door handle. LOL.

Pops told me to play fair, Yuppers pops, nothing like giving when it's worth giving, Ha.

Wife's Murano is the same. You'd think they'd make it so if the FOB goes out of range, the doors look, or engine shuts off, or both....sounds simple.
We put a remote start in it....wife hates it because when you open the door, the engine shuts off. If it didn't work that way, anyone could steal it if it was remote started. At least the remote start company is thinking about it....
