Maybe one of those game trail cameras that goes in a tree and snaps a shot when it sees motion might render some useful info. Then post the pics on here so they can be recognized. Might be worth having someone charged with vandalism to get the point across. :(

I believe that was mentioned already, and a generous S&M member has offered to donate a camera for such a purpose.

it was also mentioned why they cannot publicy post pictures of the offenders.....

i was talking to Maxwell about this the other night.. iam willing to take the time to weld up a better swinging gate. SLY one like the MX track has. if we can get some 4x4 hss that would cross the trail.. you could build it and remove it but lifting or leaving it on a swinging gate. just if anyone willing to loose some scrap hss and a place where i can weld it up and get it to valemount. id be happy to do that.

i also im waiting on an answer form a few people i know where sledding there that weekend. the bad thing is i know that they would do something like that. the beer cans for sure. the gate its a hit or miss.

I was up on Frizby on Sunday for a quick ride and was a little pissed at the mess left in the cabin! Who ever stopped at Subway that morning you should be ashamed. Took out what I could but not all. Hope those people that left the mess stay away from Revy and if you don't than pick up after yourself!!!!!!!

I think forum peeps may be a little more vigilant than mom getting groceries....

Perhaps the photos could be given to our friends at the RCMP as 'hard evidence' of vandalism. Then the RC's can post a bolo for the perps!

That is brutal. We were talking to a snowmobile dealer in Quebec today-The Quebec goverment according to the dealer has completly shut down ALL snowmobile and atv trails in the province until further notice.
Can we imagine what would happen if the BC and the AB goverment did the same thing?
I agree, it probably less than 1% people that mess it up for the rest of us, but if we keep
making a mess like this it won't be long before bad things happen.
To the small percentage of people who are doing this - CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES AND SHOW SOME COMMON SENSE.
Just our 2 bits.

oe of our sales managers is here from Quebec right now. we were talking about this last night.
All the trails in Quebec run on private land. It is the landowners that have denied the clubs access to their land. saying lack of respect to the land owners fences, fields, animals etc as the main reason for it. so until further notice the entire trail system in Quebec is closed. leaving VERY few places to ride out there now. the govt may be involved but they were not the ones that closed the trails it was the land owners decision.
but in the end it was really the decision of a few azzhats that disrespect every other sleddder out there with their actions and poor decision making skills.

on another kinda similiar note i think we are not far behind. during hunting season on the grazing range i saw a few of the fields were marked with kinda homemade signs saying no acccess to snowmobile trails past here and stay out. if we keep riding off the trails we may end up in the same situation. it kinda looked like it was just the range boss gettin pissy by the way the signs were made but it all starts with one guy complaining to the right person. dang it cause thats were the fun riding is if ya cant get to the big hills.

Completely agree. I don't get why we can post porn all over this site (those girls have faces), people of Walmart etc etc, but you can't post someone's truck plate or a pic of them after they messed up the cabin?

We had the same problem at our cabin that the Tail Creek Snowbirds put up one spring some party was had after we closed it for the year and the threw the fire wood at all the windows busting them out plus broke the glass out of the woodburning stove the following year they went up and cleaned out a truck box leaving a bed and garbage then stoled our pile of split fire wood. Just no respect. If anybody ever gets ahold of some idiot doing this stuff smack the he** out of them for everybody else I know it probably won't do any good but it would make me feel good knowing somebody at least got a chance to retalliate. Just my rant thank you

how wide does the gate need to be? I have a bunch of good solid cattle gate that we use to keep wild buffalo out of our leases. I would gladdly donate a couple sections so you have a solid one piece gate.

Here in Alberta they can't deny access on crown land in the winter. Period, plain and simple. Too many of these grazing lessors think they own the land, and think they have more rights than they do. If I see one of those signs, I'm going to ignore it as I have the right to access the property. Furthermore, if the land is held under a Grazing Permit, you don't even have to notify them if you are going on. There is no reason to try to deny access to riders in the winter as there is no grazing then. It's a different story during the grazing season as there is livestock there then. Again, people trying to tell other people what to do when they don't have the right. There seems to be getting to be a lot of that in this country.
