Good day. I bought the Koso dual egt gauge last year and want to install them now. The question i have is what power source is everyone using (pics)? I would also like to know if it is worth upgrading to the FAST probes and if so, can i just upgrade the probes or do i need a complete new setup? Thanks.

What sled?

I put one on an '05 M7. You need DC to connect direct, or use the rectifier that comes with it for an AC supply. I used the rectifier, but had to put a resistor in series with it to keep it from going into over voltage error mode when the RPM went up. Lousy voltage regulation on the '05's. On mine there was an AC accessory plug behind the speedo that I tied into. On the 06's & 07's it's behind the plate in front of the steering column.

Don't need a whole new unit for fast response, just different probes.

Hope that helps.:d

Sled is an 08 M1000. Any idea on what the fast probes cost? Thanks.

i had the dual on my 08 m1000 and i took the 12 volt power from the fuse off the wiring harness. took them off this year cuz the probes kept blowing out on it and i never looked down at it to see what my temps were lol.

i have a o8 m1000 on the left side of the steering post behind the alumium plate there is a two terminal plug in there for aux power plug in. this plug in is dummy plugged with another plug into it. the dummy plug only has one wire conected to it just to help hold the dummy plug in. sorry it sounds kinda confusing but as soon as you see it you will know what i mean. canadian tire or napa stocks these plugins so there is no cutting of the factory harness...Hope this helps

Assuming that your sled is the same as a 08. I had a o6 crossfire and this aux plug in only put out 12 -14 volts at around 3000 rpm except I know they increased the stator aux output on the 08 to 12 volts at idle not 100 percent sure with the 07 in the picture the power wire is the red\ blue one and the black is ground. the dummy plug has only one wire going into it the black wire. You might have to remove the aluminum cover to be able to see the plug in hope this is helps you.
