But wait, when Doo came out with it, some called it and still call it a gimmick and yet now several skid and chassis manufacturer's have their own versions?
Not so much of a gimmick after all it seems.......
Its a gimmick, just a passing fad IMO.
I could sell you on a fancy button on your handle bars, I could claim that it gives you confidence to do things things you wouldn't normally do.
Now you laugh and say I'm an idiot but lets say that the Doo nation took it and ran with it, bragged about it till everybody had to have one. Even the people that don't know the first thing about buttons that give you confidence were bragging.
Next thing you know everybody whats a button. Button's are selling through the roof. Now I ask you wouldn't you be building your own button and trying to sell it. Even if its just a gimmick.

So what if Cat or Yamaha came up with it and ran with it? Still a gimmick?
Is the KISS coupler a gimmick as well because it changes the motion of the skid?
Was the drop and roll a gimmick?
It's not a gimmick or just a fancy button (analogy aside). It quite obviously works and improves performance and handling of that chassis, and apparently other's as well. I've ridden Doo's, 10-12's without and 13/14's with and there is a noticeable improved difference. I have not ridden a sled with an aftermarket skid yet but reviews are positive so again, obviously it works. And obviously well enough for the aftermarket to take notice.
If it was a gimmick, major reputable aftermarket manufacturer's would not waste their time and money developing their own versions. 10's of thousands have been invested by several reputable manufacturer's. That says something. And the word gimmick is not one of the things said.
U have to be drunk to post that, or stupidIts a gimmick, just a passing fad IMO.

I disagree. If you have a good product competitively priced you will sell them no matter what. Superclamps for example haven't changed for years and they sell thousands of them. Others may make tweaks to their product to improve on previous design but essentially keep it the same and again have no problems selling. Not saying there is anything wrong with expanding your product line either. It's marketing, if manufacturers don't build new stuff they don't sell products. Some are good some are not.....
Back to this button, where can you get one?
I sure like my t motion setup. I don't understand why some guys get all in a fuss about it. If you don't like a tilting skid, don't ride one. No?
I'm not really sure what positives the T motion has for me on the T3. Seems to make my sled really darty on the trail and I'm confident I could get it on edge easily without it. To be honest I think it would be a better sled without it.
I think T-motion was a benefit on my 14 Freeride though and It wasn't darty at all, but It has a wider stance and no super deep keel skies.
I rode a Turbo Viper a bit this season with the Baker B-motion. B-motion has 10 degrees of flex vs Tmotions 4 degrees.
The flex with B-motion is much more noticeable. It works good on the Viper, but there is no way I'd want all that flex
on a lighter sled.
Long story short, if you are on a Cat or Polaris I'd stay away from the flexy dildo type skids...lol
Maybe it is maybe it isn't a passing fad. It really doesn't matter to me. I really can't blame anybody for trying to make technology better. Without new moves in industry we would forever be stuck in the past. I have rode the new Doo's, I really like the way they handle and feel. I also have the same feeling for my current ride which is a heavy modified poo. Industry switched for bogey wheels years ago so why not a rubber stick in the suspension. IMO its not the end all to be all, ride what you like, bragg what you want.
